I am a big meanie

I am sad :-( Quin was spayed today.
She is so pitiful, I think she just can't get comfortable. Every time she sees me she gets up and moves, She acts like I am the one that did this to her, poor baby. I can give her a pain pill in alittle bit, the vets office said this evening after we are sure she isn't going to throw it up. So I guess she should eat alittle she did drink water and every thing is fine and she went out side to pee so i know she is fine it is just she looks so…

Wow...

Its been a long time since I have posted anything on here. We just got a "nanny" cam and installed it to spy on our little puppy. It is quite enlightening... she really just sleeps all day. She is also one of the most restless sleepers I have ever seen. But it is very cute and it does give me a mid day boost to go spy on her.

Bunnies.

So a week ago, I was browsing the internet and found a holland lop that needed a new home; at a price that I couldn't refuse. I have always wanted a holland lop. This video started it all.

So I drove for an hour to the breeder's in hopes of bringing home the rabbit. I returned home with a rabbit AND a bunny. Yup...she had to show me the bunnies too. So let me introduce you to Ein and Brian's relatives.

Waffle decided he wants to be a tricolor

I turned the hose on to see what he would do, and serves me right. He started digging and rolling in the mud. Geeze. I hosed him down and got most of the mud off him. Now he smells like wet dog, blech! He's getting a bath Monday, and nails trimmed, and coat blown out...~ Otherwise I'd chuck him in the bathtub and we'd have our first bath encounter together. Haha.…

Question about walks

Hey all you corgi luvers out there! I have a quick question, my mom is always asking me to walk Darla, but sometimes its not a good time to leave the house or maybe the weather isn't right. So today I tried to walk Darla on the treadmill (hope spelling is okay) and she dosen't want to do it. Does anyone out there have a corgi that walks on a treadmill? Or has any tips? If so please respond back!!!!

THE BIG CHOP

Wow! What a heartbreaking day yesterday was. I suppose I might be melodramatic, but this being my first time going through this... it was tough.

I dropped my guy off at the clinic at 7:15 AM yesterday morning, and picked him up a little after 4. He's been doing so great. He was chipped, snipped, and had his last two baby teeth pulled while he was…

My sweet little 2 year old.

Callie is officially 2 years old! We gave her some doggy birthday cake which she LOVED! We didn't do much for celebrating because I had sinus surgery yesterday. She was very careful and gentle with me once she noticed something was wrong. Luckily my mom is here to take Callie out and play with her since I don't feel much like playing.

Even though I just had surgery yesterday I am already feeling better and the swelling has gone down. Now I just can't wait to get the packing out of my… Continue

Its funny Im going to have to catch her on video for you guys. Does anyone else have a food flinger?

Bentley started his heartworm treatment today

Well Bentley started his less invasive heartworm treatment today. He was such a good dog and wanted to check out all the doggys in the office. Bentley is doing 6 week interval treatment. he is doing once a week heartguard & twice a day doxycycline. The vet said it is less stressful on the dog then the painful three shot procedure & with Bentley being older but for him.... Also, he is becoming my chunky butt, when I got him 22 days ago he weighed 28 lbs. he weighed 35.5 lbs today. Gotta… Continue

Bark for Life and Corgi Specialty Match

On Saturday we participated in Moses Lake's First Annual Bark for Life event sponsored by the Frontier Middle School Builders Club and the Kiwanis. Our kennel club had an information booth, grooming demo, agility and rally courses set up. Turn out was pretty good for a first time event. There were several other booths including a microchip clinic by one of the vet clinics, groomers, boarding kennels, rescue groups, pet supply and food vendors. Ashton sported his CGC bandanna promoting the… Continue

How contagious is ringworm?

Our old girl Minnie just tested positive for ringworm and is currently being treated with a topical solution. The vet, whom had the delight of experiencing her own case of ringworm during pregnancy, stressed how contagious it can be. There was some discussion in the corgi health forum regarding ringworm, I am just wondering if anyone has had it spread from dog to dog, or dog to person in their house. I hate having to tell my little ones to limit petting… Continue

One year!

Since Teddy came home!

I am sad because I wrote out this long post about how happy I am to finally have a dog on my own, but my darned computer and IE decided to shut down and I lost it. :(

Anyway, hard to believe that it has been a year already. I love you, Teddy!

Here he is the first day I met him:…

Bentley goes in tomorrow to start heartworm treatment, I'm so nervous for him........

***Bentley Update*** Well I have had Bentley now for 3 weeks. He is doing great & acting more & more like a corgi even in his old age (8 yrs old). I think some hair is even growing on his back (he has a flea allergy that turned into a fungal infection). If you didnt see me previos blog post, Corgi Aid is paying for his heartworm treatment & dental work(he had bad nasty teeth). Bentley goes into tomorrow to start heartworm treatment & we are going to not my normal vet. I…

Orion is the deepest sleeper ever

How deep Orion sleeps is definitely working out to be a fantastic quality. There was an outrageous storm tonight with roaring thunder, buckets of rain, and a few hours of power outage but since Orion had fallen asleep before it started he slept through the entire thing. Another good thing about it is that he can fall asleep anywhere in the house and I can easily transfer him to his kennel and he has no idea that anything happened. He's fitting in the family very nicely and I'm finally starting… Continue
