First Night

We picked Ani up from Barbara's place last night at 7ish. Rolled up to the house, and Barbara and her friend (whose name I've forgotten) had Jasmine and the Other J-named puppy in a pen in the front yard with Ani and Waffles. (Waffles is from a litter last year, and staying with Barbara for the weekend.)

Barbara took us through the puppy packet information, and then had Ani pick out two toys from a pile of toys. Ani picked a fuzzy stuffed bone and a weird rubber lobster…

???

moka loves to cuddle when she is sleepy. I wasnt sure if that was just a puppy thing and her age ( 9 weeks) I will miss this when she gets older if she stops. I'm trying to teach her how to role over and its not working to well. She knows how to sit and lay down.

Chomper final update--- Good news!

I called the shelter yesterday to see if Chomper had been reclaimed by his owners, and he has!   So happy to hear this.  So I don't know if someone finally got one of my phone messages and didn't answer but just called the pound, if someone saw the ad I put in the paper, or they missed all of that and just called the pound and found him.  Hopefully he is now enjoying the royal treatment that he feels is his just due.  :)

Truth about Corgi's

Found this online thought everyone would really enjoy this.Really funny

I hear and read what people say about Corgis. It is clear that we are adored — as we should be — but there are many misconceptions that need to be addressed. It is my goal is writing this epistle, to help you humans better understand the PWC so you may serve us better.

A Brief History

PWCs have been around since about the 10th century. The exact breeds…

Messing with Photoshop

So my boyfriend was messing around with the kabillion of pictures I've taken of Winston. He made these little gifs in Photoshop and I thought they were the cutest thing ever. (Sue me, I might be a tad bit bias...lol) Just thought I'd share them here because everyone else I show them to thinks I'm some crazy lady obsessed with my dog. ^_^;; They aren't very exciting or especially hard to make but they sure are cute to look at.

Isn't he such a troublemaker?…

Please Remember the Heat!

Everyone please remember not to run with your dogs during the hottest part of the day.

Today while driving I saw a lady and her dog. In the middle of their run the dog collapsed from the heat. Several bystanders had to help her get water on the dog to cool it down before they could get it in a car to rush it to the vet.

The heat can be very serious. We think of our dogs as being able to deal with the elements better than us, but they're four legged so the sun hits more of their…

Almost Time

Today we put up the baby gate and placed the socket plugs in the sockets. We also made the discovery that the hooks I got for the cupboards are pretty much unuseable, especially if you keep your trash under the sink like we do. New plan: Get a tall bucket and put the cleaning supplies in that, and put it at the back of the cupboard. Sigh.

I was out at a coworker's house last night, stress testing my lungs one more time. Coworker has two dachshunds--one regular, one…

Cardigans vs Pembrokes?

I've been doing a lot of research since I got Mason on the differences between Cardigans and Pembrokes...obviously, they are two different breeds, but still with the same corgi attributes and clowny dispositions. On this site, I see mostly pemmies. I'd like to get one myself, it was my original desire to own one just like Ein from Cowboy Bebop (haha I'm sure many people had this as their beginning), but then wanted a tri-color pemmie. I fell in love with Mason though...I love the fact he is all… Continue

We are still around

I know it has been forever since I have posted on here. Wynstan and I have been extremely busy traveling throughout the US. He has been on several trips with my to Miami, New Orleans, Savannah GA, and Dallas. I am even looking at moving to the Twin Cities or Seattle area in a few years.

Unfortunately, Wynstan will not be able to travel with me on some of my longer trips because I will be on my new motorcycle. A friend and I will be taking time off work and traveling down…

From "Little Legs Rescue" in TN

The Info from Little Legs Rescue:

We recently took 3 Pems from a mid-TN owner/back-yard breeder. Trigger, the oldest male, was intact and turned out (“light”) HW+. He’s been at our vet’s office in Greeneville, TN since we got him: has been vaccinated, neutered and had his HW treatment. He seemed to have a bad reaction to the HW treatment (swelling). On Thursday 5/12 he was in lot of pain and as of Friday 5/13, he is down in the rear and x-rays revealed a ruptured disk at T11…

Ahh the "joys" of owning a dog...

I can't sleep... and feel the need to blog...

So I was fast asleep about 1 hour ago, dreaming of wee lil' corgi bunny butts running loose on the pastures of England.  Then suddenly I was awoken by a 22 lb corgi standing on my chest and the sound of a hacking sheltie in the distance.  And what to my wondering eyes does appear.. 4 large piles of vomit that pale in comparison to the Great Lakes.  Don't you hate that feeling?  You know you want to pretend they aren't there and…

Lost Corgi

So I have momentarily become a 2 Corgi household after a neighbour turned up on my doorstep with a stray Corgi she found. Seems as if my house has become 'the Corgi house' in the neighbourhood. It was a smart move on her part- I do tend to 'note' the Corgis in the area, as Corgi owners do.

This Corgi seems to be a bit older than Potus. It (I haven't checked to see if its a boy or a girl) has a docked tail which, as docking is illegal here, suggests it must be 5 or over, and…

Team Solomon

Well, Solomon has one more week at Obedience Class.  He is doing soooooo good.   He now knows Heel, Sit, Down, Stay, Recall & Finish.  We practice but when doing the heel and I stop he does NOT like to sit.  He wants to stand there, I physically have to make him sit.  I guess thats just his little way of being a defiant boy!!!!!  Part of being a stubborn corgi.  I have began to trust him alot more and that feels really good.  I am so protective of him that I…

Bissell pet spot bot

Has anyone had an experience that this Pet spot bot carpet cleaner discolors the carpet?  It is not an old carpet at all just a circle where the machine was. What a $139.00 mistake.  I have my carpts professionally cleaned and they do not turn out like that.  I bought the device because I caught Chloe doing her business in the living room.

Chomper update

Poor Chomper!  (By the way, that was the name on his tag).

Chomper is the Pomeranian my husband found loose late last night by our house.

What a sweet little guy who loves people and loves other dogs, but alas he is not crate trained and it turns out he's intact and quite the little marker.  My cat was miserable with him…
