Seeing as this is my first post I will explain a little about myself first. My name is Ashley, I am 21 years old and live in WI with my boyfriend (Joe). I am currently going to school with a major in Biology and a minor in Wildlife Ecology, what am I going to do with that you ask? I dunno, hopefully something at least science related! Anyway, I have had dogs all my life. When I was younger we had Shetland Sheepdogs, then as a preteen we had German Shepherds. When I was about sixteen and…Continue

So, I was sitting on my favorite chair in my patio, enjoying the early morning with my Pupsters when I see an old truck drive really close to my fence (my house is a corner lot and I have an alley way next to one side of my house). I thought this "man" was going to try to get figs out of my tree that hangs over my fence. Little did I know that he was about to throw something out of the back of his truck hard against my…Continue
Just came home from the World Dog Show in Paris. What an amazing experience! The last time I went to a dog show, it was in an exposition hall back in Hawaii, in the 90s. Needless to say, this show was bigger by several orders of magnitude.
It was inspiring to see not just beautiful animals, but the people who loved and cherished them so very much. You could just feel the hopeful and happy energy buzzing throughout the place. And what a huge place it was. By the end, my legs…Continue
I watered my plants in the backyard for the first time since I got Ein (They're mostly self sustaining). It turns out she loves water. I had a feeling since she likes to splash and play in her water bowl, but this another confirmation. Here's the evidence.
This is me watering my lemon tree with my right hand and takin pictures with my left. LOL…Continue
This is what I have so far. I still have to shade and highlight the costumes and dogs. The fonts are tentative as well, but I think I have the names picked out. Thanks for the suggestions guys!
Tell me what you think?
Getting ready to go out to a concert by a local band tonight. My poor kids are my test subjects as I'm going over my settings on my D90…Continue
Guinness was looking the other way and suddenly looked back when he heard the focus beep...he's come a long way from when he was a puppy and he'd try to get his chompers around the lens to take my camera away from me!
For those of you who have lost a cherised pet know the anguish, hurt and empty feeling that's left behind. I lost my Daisy on 8-13th of this year and I still cry for her. I only had her for 6 months but it seemed like forever.
On 10-30, my brother, George, received a call from his niece, Robin, up in Santa Barbara; about 2 1/2 hours North of us. She walks her dog on a path near the Marina and has made wonderful pet friends…Continue
For those of you who have followed my Daisy with her struggles of in and out of the Doggie Hospital. Yesterday she came home just after 11:00 a.m. and by 2:45 she couldn't stand up by herself. I called the Vet and told her I was bringing her back and she said OK she would get a room ready for her. I started my car and went to pick her up and she whimpered as I gently lifted her and she passed away in my arms. I couldn't stop crying. I held and hugged her. She worked so…Continue
I’m changing Scouts name to Houdini last night at around 12:30AM I hear the puppy begin to whine something he hasn’t done in the 2 weeks we’ve had him. Moments later I hear a thud up against the bed room door,
disoriented it scared me a little then I realized what it was. Scout had somehow gotten out of his kennel and was resting up against the door, so I get up and sure enough there he is. He looks up at me as if to say “oh sorry dude, did I wake you?” I’m sure he didn’t do anything…
So on February 13th, Daisy comes home to enjoy her new life with her new brother and sisters. Then, on Saturday, 2-20, when it was time to get breakfast ready, she didn't want to eat and didn't want to hang out with the Pupsters. Sunday morning, 2-21, I got her ready and took her to the Vet. They said she was running a high temperature. I told them to do whatever it takes to get her better. She was there for 3 days and she was on all kinds of antibiotics and her…Continue
I never knew how stressful rescuing a Corgi could be. . .but the wait was well worth it. . . .
On Jan 8th, my friend Nancy sent me a text saying that her hairdresser had a friend who was at the Pasadena Animal Shelter and she saw a Corgi there.
Nancy and I have talked for some time about how much I love my Corgis and how I wish I could get another one. She suggested that if I…Continue
