We recently lost our October to mammary cancer.  She was only 9. :[  We were prepared, though, so we are sad and mourning but it was not surprising or unexpected, which makes it easier to deal with.  We got a new little girl, named Jeannie (pronounced "genie") and she is so good!  She's very confident and outgoing, AND SO ACTIVE, but not destructive.  Very loving.  She and Waffle are going to be great friends, I can tell.  …

I'm carrying my 32 pound dog up and down the stairs in broad daylight in front of my whole apartment complex.

He is just sick!  He isn't a princess!  I promise!

Thanks everyone for your well wishes.  He is improving and getting more and more difficult to contain. 

In other news, someone left a tube of cinnamon rolls on the sidewalk and they exploded.  There is icing and dough everywhere and it smells delicious.

I had not even been trying to get Waffle a CGC because we'd never been in an obedience class and I was adamant that we would fail--and was I wrong or what!  Our CGC performance was FLAWLESS.  The trainer giving our test—who has been training dogs for 20 years and has taught countless CGC classes and given countless CGC tests—said that Waffle was the best dog she has ever tested for the CGC.  Wow!
