It was corgi day at Balboa Park yesterday! We're in a heat wave (90 degree temps) but despite the heat we had a wonderful time!

We had Corgi meetup in Taipei this past weekend in a garden restaurant.  Tons of Corgis showed up.  However, the weather did not cooperate and it rained. While we do not have Holloween here in Taiwan, but we do have the annual corgi meetup. People coming from all over the island come together to celebrate their short legged furry best friend. The last estimated I got there was over 500 people and over 300 Corgis showed up! We visit and talked with each other about our dogs and handed out treats to all of the dogs, none corgis included! We had our San Diego COrgi Meetup "HOwl-O-Ween" party today. It was a beautiful fall day out at the park, For most of the time I kept Sidney on-leash so he wouldn't run or get caught up in rough-and-tumble play, but he still had a wonderful time.

For SId's costume, I made him up to be the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile. I put some of his corgi friends in the "windows" and a "flat tire" sign at his bum leg.…

Despite Doglando's last-minute requirement of proof of vaccinations, a chance of rain, and tornado warnings, we had 15 corgis show up!

There was definitely a learning experience this time, with Doglando emailing us around 3:30pm on the day before (a Saturday) to tell us that dogs would now have to have proof of vaccination for rabies, bordatella, and DHLPP to gain entry. Besides not being able to guarantee that we would get in touch with everyone, some members' vet's…

So, Jen woke me up this morning so we could go out to a corgi meet she heard about on mycorgi.com. I figure it would be nice to meet some other corgis and their owners, and possibly some of the people she's been talking to on the website. We got there with minimal trouble, a LOT less than when we went to go see Banzai in person... THAT was a hell of a trip.

Yesterday Spartacus and I went to our very first meet-up. And what a meet-up it was! Hosted by the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of Southern California, Spartacus and I met tons and tons of corgis, corgi owners and corgi fans from all around! I want to go so, so bad to the meet. I want to get out and meet new people, be around corgis, and have fun but there is a problem. I can't drive. T_T My mom works at night, and sleeps during the day. I have no friends, and on top of it all Ryan, my boyfriend, doesn't have a license.
