Hi everyone!
I just set up my 9-10 month corgi up for a special surgery cause he has crytorchidism to get fixed on Monday, April 25th.
I'm extremely nervous, since I was told it was more of an exploratory surgery to find his one testicle. Since they don't exactly know which area of his body it'll be in.
Can anyone help ease my anxiety? Is it a safe surgery? Do you know if my corgi will feel okay after the surgery? Is there any advise I should…

Wow! What a heartbreaking day yesterday was. I suppose I might be melodramatic, but this being my first time going through this... it was tough.
I dropped my guy off at the clinic at 7:15 AM yesterday morning, and picked him up a little after 4. He's been doing so great. He was chipped, snipped, and had his last two baby teeth pulled while he was…

Just had Nigel neutered yesterday. We had a rough night. He had trouble sleeping with the neck cone and whined all night. My doctor said to continue using the cone collar for 5 days so he doesn't lick or bite the wound area. If I take off the collar, he immediately starts licking the wound. I just feel so badly that Nigel has to wear that cone. He hates it! Anyone have any pointers? Can I spray anything on the area to get him to stop licking? Is it really going to take 5 days for recovery? He's…

I'm not sure if Owen made it through okay or if he will ever look at the vet sweetly again. On Monday, I drove in the snow to get Owen fixed, vaccinated (rabies), and have his front dew claws removed. All in all, I'm pretty sure this was equally tragic for all of us involved. I picked up poor Owen that afternoon, paws bandaged and drove home. He cried until he got to my lap and I cried too.. we are babies. He rested alot and that night whined and whined. Matt had to sleep in the hallway part of…

Roscoe got neutered on Thursday. He just had to stay at the vet for the day (not overnight). My boyfriend dropped him off and I got him that evening. He was awake, but looked so drugged out. Like, he would focus on me, but I could tell he was so out of it. He slept on the way home, and made it outside to pee and potty fine that evening. Then he pretty much dropped for the night. It was the first time in a while I got to cuddle and hold him without him trying to play. He was back to normal…

Well, Agro is recovering just nicely. He's in full play mode today. The swelling has completely disappeared and his sutures are healing and fading. The vet used internal sutures so theres virtually no signs of a scar or anything. I also wanted to thank all those who left encouraging messages and advice on my previous posts. I'm sure Agro appreciates them as well.

Well, we just picked Agro up from the Vet a few minutes ago. I'm happy to say that the procedure was a success and Agro is currently back home resting in his kennel. I was expecting him to be in a lot of pain but when they brought him out he was perfectly happy, showing signs of curiosity as he leaned in to take a whiff of the medication the vet was presenting us. When I saw that I giggled slightly and thought to myself, "Yeah, he's OK. I need to stop worrying." So I did and I have thus far…

And I'm a bit nervous. This coming Friday my corgi pup, Agro, is scheduled to be neutered. I'm a bit worried for the little guy simply because I don't want him to feel any pain. I know dogs get neutered all the time w/o any real complications. I mean, I might expect some suture rupture or infection but I know he'll ultimately be fine. I just hate having to anticipate and later deal with my corgi having to suffer. My partner and I debated whether his pain was ultimately worth him being neutered.…
