Time really goes by quickly.  Seven months ago, Bento was born on May 2, 2011.  In celebration of his birthday, he's heading off to the local SPCA for his "fixing."  Poor little guy.  Mommy loves you and am really sorry about the timing of the event.  Unfortunately, the SPCA only schedules these surgeries on certain days. 

There will be a lovely treat waiting for you when you get home!  Assuming you feel like eating it.

My male Corgi, at 8 months old, is already acting pretty stud-like. I eventually wanted to get a puppy out of him so I have one of his offspring. BUT he has a tendency to mark his territory... in the house too. And when around some female dogs he gets all giddy and excited. He listens well, and is such a love bug but...

 

Should I just go ahead and do myself a favor and get him neutered?

I just set up my 9-10 month corgi up for a special surgery cause he has crytorchidism to get fixed on Monday, April 25th.

I'm extremely nervous, since I was told it was more of an exploratory surgery to find his one testicle. Since they don't exactly know which area of his body it'll be in.

 

Can anyone help ease my anxiety? Is it a safe surgery? Do you know if my corgi will feel okay after the surgery? Is there any advise I should…

I visited with Waffle yesterday! Oh my goodness, he got so big. He shouldn't get any bigger, just fatter, lol. I didn't take any pictures except on my cellphone, unfortunately. He's doing really well. I ended up getting him 2 balls and an Orbee chew toy. He brought them into the ICU pen Terri set up for him. "These are mine!!" ...He moves like a snake. Waffle got neutered today! It was an intense surgery because one of his testicles didn't drop at all, poor boy. I'm going to buy a toy for him today at PetSmart so I have a gift for him when I visit over spring break. :]

Shiro is at the vet's right now, getting the operation done. It will be more complicated (and expensive) than a regular neuter because he's criptorchid, but we're prepared and just hoping for the best. He will be out today by 6pm and if everything goes well should be fully recovered in a week. It will be hard to keep him from playing and frapping but hopefully I can compensate with lots of home training.

He has to get bloodwork done tonight and then they need to keep him overnight to make sure he doesn't eat or drink anything I guess :( I'm so anxious about this!
