So it's official! I just found out exactly who my baby is.
On May 25th or 26th I will be bringing home this little lady.
She's a real sweetheart and the breeder says she's basically the "princess".
I'm in love.…
ContinueI was feeling discouraged. Hunting for the healthy Pembroke puppy with a tail is a tiring task. I was talking to my sister about just rescuing, I already have guilt for going with a breeder. Maybe my first dog is not supposed to be the dream dog. Maybe I am supposed to adopt some LA puppy. And maybe I am.
But then I ran into a corgi.
It's name was bubbles. Bubbles balanced treats on his head, he high fived with both stubs, he put his head in my lap when I petted…

Ok you guys, it has been a CRAZY few days. A video I posted of Fiona on YouTube went viral, and it has been a total roller coaster ride since then. You can see the YouTube video here. And below is a photo of her smiling about all the nice people saying warm and fuzzy things about her.…

After all of the months of research and waiting and planning and preparation...Fiona finally came home on February 1st. And oh, what a month it's been!

So last night at about 1am my husband and I took our rabbit, Gregory to the animal hospital because we were worried about him given that he hadn't eaten any of his hay or veggies. We even gave him a strawberry (his favorite) and he refused it. He had been this way for several hours and his temperature was off as well. Having lost our other Corgi last December we are still a bit gun shy when it comes to our pets health. So, if for no other reason than to calm our nerves we went to the…

My puppy Charlie is 4 months old. We are dog sitting for a female boston terrier that is staying at our house. They get along great! Just one thing I noticed is the exsessive chewing and bitting he does on her. She doesn't seem to be hurt by it at all, but I am still concerned and don't know what to think of it.

Machete is totally dubious of Mondays. We had an issue at home with the bathroom renovations and the WORST CREW EVER and it's made the house a disaster and is slowly traumatizing the pets. The cats are dealing with the worst of it, right now, poor lil' guys.
Machete is not a fan of the car at the moment. He will quietly settle eventually, but at the start he's…

For my first post on this site, I just want to give a hearty Thank You! to everyone who has posted before me.
Growing up, I had two dogs. My family has a long tradition of outside dogs (which I never liked, but I was the kid). Nothing is difficult about having an outside dog in the country. They run, play, bark, potty, chew whatever and wherever they want on the acres of land they have free range to explore. You play with and walk them when you feel like it and ignore them when you…

I've been lurking mycorgi.com for like a year before deciding to officially bring our own pup home. It was a joint decision between my girlfriend & I. We decided long ago that the Corgi was perfect for us. It's our first dog and it's been completely amazing.
Anyway...
This is Cowboy. She's a little Pem tricolor girl, a little over four months at this point. She hasn't met a soul she doesn't love...dog, cat, or human. Both our families spoil her like a grandchild.…

Delia is really something else. First, I have never had a puppy this young. 5 months had previously been my youngest. And Second, I have never had a small ish dog. My other dogs are a German Shepherd/blue heeler mix and a black lab. So when I got the unexpected email that there might be a puppy for me, I was all smiles.
See, after expecting to be in a little born in June, I was informed that the mom did not have enough in her litter to get down to my name on the list. I was…

I just wanted to let the MyCorgi world know that Maverick is doing AWESOME. He is a puppy so obviously the chewing and potty training is at the forefront, but other than that, he is doing abnormally well for a puppy.
At first, he didn't really have his legs under control.. it looked like his back legs had grown a little faster than they should have, and he was klutzy and clumsy, but after running around every day, he has figured it out and is so FAST for a little guy!! I know…

Sunday July 8th, one week ago today, I decided to Google any upcoming corgi litters in the area. I found a litter born June 16th with a couple male pups available. I sent the woman an email and within the hour had multiple pictures of the male my boyfriend and I liked best. We sent her our reserve deposit and officially started the countdown to picking up our new baby boy, Maverick. The woman had names for her pups for reference and our choice's name was Raccoon, which was kind of a sign…
