"I can see it's a MIRACLE!"

Hello everyone, its ME little Banzai. Guess what. My eyes opened recently! Yay! I can't see much now, everything is still a blur. But for some reason I kept seeing these bright flashes for a while.

I'm about as photogenic as my human mom. I can't help it! I didn't know… Continue

The Crate Escape

I live alone, so you can probably understand why the shower curtain jumping at me would be a bit un-settling! I placed young Cheez-McQueen in his newly divider-free kennel earlier in the evening. Little did I know that the side-door to it was a bit unsecure. The shower curtain jumped at me, and I was soon met by a dog frantically yelping when it occured to him that showers are full of water. He jumped in through the curtain, got his feet wet a… Continue

The kennel attacked my dog! (Everyone at least read the first para.)

I ramble on, so I will keep this paragraph short. A good amount of you all have a kennel like THIS, and most all of you have a corgi with feet like THIS. Well if your kennel is like that and the divider wall (if one) is up, there may be a gap under the wall. We all know that Corgi's sometimes sleep/lay with their feet behind like in… Continue

Puppy ears

Does anyone want to make a guess as to when George's ears will stand up? He was born on February 3, 2008, and his ears are still floppy. They are to the stage where they look like bat wings, but they are still down. I got Rosie at ten weeks and she had one ear up and one ear down. By the time she was fourteen weeks old both of her ears were up. He looks really cute with them kind of at half staff. I should have some pictures to share soon.

Need a name!!!

Ok, our family is just going crazy not having a name to call our little tricolor girl corgi. They don't want to wait until she is home to see more personality.

I want a girlish name. Maybe Irish or the color Green somehow since she was born on St. Patrick's Day. Maybe Welsh since the breed is from Wales. Maybe NASCAR since we live in Mooresville nicknamed Race City USA since 90+ NASCAR teams call us home. Maybe something sweet, chocolate or coffee related. Maybe something heart/love… Continue

LONG visit and the puppies at last!

Well, we went on Sunday afternoon and spent 2 hours with them all. We have narrowed it down to three. I know...too many to choose from! They were all so adorable and so happy. My boys were in totally heaven. Outside we went and played and played. I took 10 million digtal photos and still can't decide!

Based on temperment they were all great! No one freaked when gently rolled on their backs (except one which was immediately eliminated) and they were all fine having their toes played… Continue

New pup w/ inguinal hernia, finally home.

I went to pickup my pup from the vet/breeder health check today. I was very excited to take him home. The vet said that he has an inguinal (spelling??) hernia. It is slightly visible on his lower left side on his inner stomache. I was given the option to take another pup when she gets one ect.. I know that these are fairly common in female dogs, but happen in males too. We worked out a solution, and I took Cheez-it home in spite of his issue. He seems to be doing great, he went through cycles… Continue

Baxter is home.

Hi everyone! Thanks so much for the well wishes! It is wonderful to be back home with my little one. He is just a joy. Sorry I haven't responded sooner, I have just got back home today. And Baxter and I are EXHAUSTED! We both had a good two hour nap after we got home. He enjoys his naps but when he is awake he is a busy little bee! He's such a little sweetheart though. His crate training is going well, he's been very quiet in his crate, protesting just a little here and there, and he didnt make… Continue

The visit ramble

Well they came and they left... Roxi's first visit to the grand ol' Washington DC.. She seemed to enjoy it and I'm happy since we'll be here for a little while :).

The first couple minutes they were here, she met her first other corgi besides her siblings when we first got her.. A little ball of fluff the neighbors picked up since they lost their other corgi and its sibling is about to pass away as well.. So it was interesting to watch them interact.. the puppy going nuts at the end… Continue
