It's some kind of flea and tick stuff.  I just heard from a good friend that she used it on her dockie and the pup is now in the hospital.  It's a full grown dog, right dosage was used.  Dog started staggering, ice cold, low respiration...not good at all.  I researched it because I have never heard of it and the many many of the reviews were bad.  A number of dogs have died from it.  One review I read was from a vet.

Anyone have any experience with it?

Bladder Stones. Many Bladder Stones. *sighs* we all didn't see this coming. I am sad to announce Bella may be undergoing a surgery to remove the dozens of ping-pong ball sized stones from her bladder, that caused horrid inflammation in her (lady-part) and on the outside of it. Bento managed to get past the baby gate at the bottom of the stairs and got to the second floor and the second bedroom where we were hiding a stash of Patrick Roger's dark chocolate from Belgium.  

He devoured a pound of the chocolate before we caught him red handed, or chocolate pawed.

After trying to induce vomit, it didn't work, we took him to the emergency room where he's spending the night even as I type.

It's been super busy in my life right now, I've come down with bronchitis and Molly has developed a tummy problem if she doesn't have a midnight snack.

I'm worried about my little guy. We came home from our walk and he started panting heavily. I didn't think anything of this at first since it makes sense he'd be overheated from walking. But then He kept following me around and I noticed he's trembling. I took him to the vet about 3 weeks ago to the day for ingesting xylitol. So our girl Luna went out potties last night, didn't act sick or sickly, no problems, and settled down for the night.

 

The girls still sleep in their crates because they're still little and not terribly reliable on the chewing issue.

 

Well, my husband and I must have slept like ROCKS last night, because when my husband got up at 5am, he started wailing, Oh LUNAAAAAA!

My corgi and I went to the beach yesterday. I guess he ingested a lot more sand then I realized! So he started throwing up last night. I decided to not feed him and just give him water to hydrate. The next morning it was a mess full of throw up and poo (basically brown liquid and sand).

I might just see how he is for one more day and call the vet tomorrow. But I'm worried if it is more serious? Has this happened to anyone before?

So our little Ein came back from his first vet visit with a lovely case of giardia and whipworm.... *shudder*... 

 

Luckily he hasn't shown any symptoms yet. He has been a little lethargic since we adopted him last week, but we feel most of that can be attributed to being in a new environment. Now, on top of settling in to a new home, our little boy gets to look forward to 5 days of deworming meds followed by a trip to the tub for a thorough cleaning.

This morning i woke up and let the dogs out like normal. I let them out did a couple of things then went to bring them in so they can eat. Rhun is always the first one in everyday, once he is done his business he always finds a spot to relax by the front door. Today is the day! In fact as I am writing this as the are getting her ready to go into surgery.

I've had a long weekend with little sleep because she had to go out about every hour to go potty. But this morning I woke up to her being as playful as ever. I think that the antibiotics are starting to work. It just made me so happy seeing her run around like crazy and constantly squeaking her toy like she used to. (And she can squeak toys for hours)

Today after getting back from class (I was gone maybe 3 hours) I noticed Callie was acting strange, she was trembling. I thought maybe she had to go potty so I let her outside. She did her business like normal, but just kept trembling. She then didn't even want to walk back to the building. My question is can dogs get stomach bugs?



Zelda, my German Shepherd, has been puking up her food for the past two days. She vomits everything up, followed by bile, followed by dry heaving. Yesterday she had surprise diarrhea on the balcony. I noticed her stool was slightly softer than usual when I cleaned it up at dog park on Tuesday evening as well.

Monster just had his one year check up. He has silly veins so the doctor had to dig around for them. He was a champ! He did sooo good getting his blood taken and getting his medicine injections. Everything was fine until about 2 hours ago and now he feels bad. :( He cries if you try to pick him up or touch his hips and he is so tired! He's been sleeping since we got home. Poor Didi had to have a flea bath today. She was very unhappy. She smells super clean though, and all the fleas that got on her when she was playing in the sand pit have fallen off, so it was worth it.
I've been sick the whole week so the puppy hasn't had any walks or park visits. She hasn't even gotten to go in the car while I made errands. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be feeling a lot better and we'll make it to the dog park.

I woke up this morning to a soiled kennel, about 3-4 spots of vomit on the kitchen floor, and 2-3 runny potty spots on the downstairs bathroom floor.

Well, my little girl just had her latest round of shots. She got her final distemper shot of the year, and I was planning on get here Lyme shot. However, my vet told me that in my area that Lyptospirosis (sp?) is more prevelent, and if I plan on going anywhere more rural that I could always get Luna vaccinated later.
