I just wanted to let the MyCorgi world know that Maverick is doing AWESOME. He is a puppy so obviously the chewing and potty training is at the forefront, but other than that, he is doing abnormally well for a puppy.

This morning my mom and I took all three of our furbabies on a dog walk to benefit a local no-kill shelter. My mom has two yorkies and I (of course) have Chase, my Pem.

I was a little nervous. Chase needs work with his socialization skills. He is always barking and growling at strangers as they approach and pass. I wanted him to have this new experience in order to help him learn to be around new people and new animals.

I took chloe to the dog park today, it is separated between large and small, so we go to small side. Things were fine until a jack russell mix boy came-he , barred teeth, Chloe ran behind my legs, then sat down to me on the bench, she was very friendly to all the people. I have discovered that a local pet store in Portland (Planet Dog) does something called Puppy Romper Room for an hour a day on Saturday and Sunday. This is really great because I was kind of at a loss for ideas on how to socialize Penny.
