Coughing?
Ramji went to day camp and then got groomed yesterday. He was fine through the evening until around 1:00 AM when he started coughing and sounding like he was going to throw up. He sounds congested and seems like he's trying to hack something up but nothing comes out.
I'm taking him to see the vet this morning but I wanted to get some other opinions as to what this could be.

Just got back and the vet says it's Kennel Cough. :/ No daycare for a while

Was he at daycare 4-10 days ago? If he goes to daycare regularly my guess is he has kennel cough. Nothing from daycare or groomer yesterday would show up overnight except maybe if he aspirated some water or got choked by a lead at the groomer or something like that.
My guess is kennel cough, so that means no daycare until he is well. It took Kirby 3 weeks to recover from kennel cough. Your vet can give you some cough tabs to supress the cough and doxy or another antibiotic and hopefully he will take less time to recover.
