I hate winter.
Down right, loath it. All the festive holiday insanity brought on by the same songs being played over and over everywhere you go. Snow that gets into every seam if not 100% sealed off and melts; Always finds its way into my butt crack.
The wet cold that within minutes, you're convinced you face is covered in frost bite, your ears are surely falling off, and your feet and fingers are swimming in the arctic waters, only there's no cute penguins. Not to mention the winter pounds.
I hate winter.

However, this year... I'm looking forward to it.
No, the Who's of Whoville didn't show me the error of my ways, there is no Cindy-Lo-Who, who warmed my heart. There is however...a corgi in my life now.
Upon building my obsession with corgis, I watched a many, many videos of corgis in snow. Now I have a corgi... and there will be snow. The excitement of how darn cute my winter is going to be it almost bursting at the seams.
I also have toddler, and though her birthday is in the winter, she's old enough now to actually play in the snow, and though Lemmy was also a winter pup, he's old enough now too, to play in the snow. Not to mention last year was a wet winter, and not much snow was had.
I'm going to have a corgi and a toddler playing in the snow, for the first time. This will surely be the cutest winter ever.

I hate snow, too!  For me it is mostly traveling to work and worrying about my car going into the ditch or me falling AGAIN.  However, this year (and last year)  I am looking forward to that first hard freeze.  You see, one of my Corgis has terrible allergy problems in the fall.  She itches from the end of August until the first hard freeze.  She has to take medicine for it with somewhat limited success.  She gets extra baths and she has her feet soaked pretty often.  I feel so bad for my girl.  So, after years of dreading the winter months I can't wait so that her life will return to normal.

Yes, corgis and snow go together...it will be fun. Watching them roll and run in snow much deeper than they are high is fun. Enjoy!

Be sure to throw a snowball into the snow, then watch your pup try to find the "ball" you just threw. Kinda mean, but...classic.  The only trouble that winter brings is that often the snow is taller than the corgi. Then you have to go out and shovel a path for the dog. If you're lucky, you can get a bigger dog to do it for you.

I love corgis in snow. And my corgi loves the cold.

Edison makes snow shoveling actually fun.  He likes to chase the airborne snow and then frolics where the snow lands, and generally comports himself with no dignity whatsoever.  It's delightful.  :)

Living in California we don't really get snow, so its a very special thing and Franklin LOOOOOOOOOOVES it. My favorite part of winter is that when the weather is cool/cold Franklin turns into a cuddle monster and can't get enough of snuggle time with me. In the summer its just too hot to snuggle and he tends to sleep in the bathroom or kitchen on the tile floor so I miss my cuddles all summer long :-)

Corgis make winter so wonderful. I never appreciated snow until I had Murphy. And now that I don't have to commute very far anymore, my worries are gone. I stocked up on sweats and blankets, get hot chocolates at work for free whenever I want (barista), and I have my corgi babies. This will be Maverick's first winter, and I'm so excited to see his reaction. Take lots of photos and videos!
