Sorry if this sounds silly but..... do Corgis howl?

I am more curious than anything. We have had Templeton, who is a rescue and my first corgi, for about five months. He barks and I even heard him whine once when we took him camping but I was wondering if corgis are even capable of howling. Thanks!

Yes, Parker does howl! Even throws his head back and let's it go! I noticed he only does this when he hears an ambulance/sirens go by the house. He responds in like kind! It's really funny sounding and he is quite proud of his ability!

I have 4 and I've never heard any of them howl and we have lots of dogs near by that do. . .especially when trains are heard but mine just move their heads back and forth, but no howls?????

Yes Corgis howl! They have several howls in various tones. I love it, it is like they are talking to you. Most of the time I can get little bit to howl on command,or if I make greeting noises to her. Just one more thing that makes the corgi so special.

Stanley howls quite a bit. He does this bark/howl thing when someone knocks on the door or if he's trying to alert us of something. He does it a lot at dog parks too when he gets riled up. I heard someone comment that he must be half corgi, half beagle :) I really need to get video of him doing it.

My fiance some how taught Uno to howl.. he woos now whenever I leave the house or wants my attention. He also does this really low pitch howl that's barely audible.. it almost sounds ghostly. But just loud enough to creep you out and also wake you up if you're asleep.

Yes, Oscar does. He has done it since he was a puppy. He usually does it after a nap or when he is stretching

Ella doesn't howl but will instead make this arrrrooo noise, but only if she's upset about something (like a squirrel in the yard is running by a window). It started as a fast/short bark cycle and then one short arrrrooo. But no head tilted up full howl.
