I found mine through "Petfinder." It lets you type in the breed, sex, age and temperament that works best for you. Since the site allows very specific searches, I found my "coach potato" who does very well living in an apartment. It is also very honest about dogs with medical and/or behavioral issues so you probably know what you are getting and are not surprised by someone trying to hide problems. Since the site allows very specific searches, I found my "coach potato" who does very well living in an apartment. It is also very honest about dogs with medical and/or behavioral issues so you probably know what you are getting and are not surprised by someone trying to hide problems. I needed a laid-back pet and that is exactly what I got, but it took me more than a year to find the right match . I checked out several, but Sully was the only one that really fit. The puppies and young dogs are more expensive to adopt because their cost helps cover all the immunizations and spay/neutering. They transported Sully from Arkansas to New England for a fee. Most adoptions cost a few hundred dollars. Senior dogs cost the least. Sully is 3 years-old. She was in foster care for over a year and she is just now fully relaxed and settled in her new home. She used to follow me from room to room, now she barely glances up at me if I leave the room. The only time she gets excited is when I go out and come home again. Even a trip to the mailbox receives a welcome akin to the "second coming of Christ." I found adopting a grown dog easier for me, but I'm not sure what you want. Good luck!

Rescuing corgi in Northern California will take a ton of patience and/or a willingness to drive long distances. There are many corgi rescues in southern california, with patience digging through petfinder you may be able to find one. Occasionally you will find an owner on craigslist wishing to rehome their corgi. There are lots of good breeders in the area if that is the route you want to go too. Just depends on what exactly you are looking for :-)
