Thank you Holly.

I have been in touch with most of the breeders in New England. I appreciate the Facebook Group info as an additional resource. I have averaged 6 hours a day on searching and can find senior dogs, but younger males are hard to find.

Thanks again for your kindness.

In addition to Linda's suggestions I have found the New England Coastal Corgis Facebook page often lists corgis that need to be rehomed from surprisingly loving homes due to very sad reasons such as the owner's terminal illness or the birth of a child that happens to be highly allergic. Many are at a good age and healthy. They (adoption possibilities) come up fairly often, more often than they seem to come up through the rescue sites, though those should be considered as well of course. I am…

I will give you the same advice I just gave someone else. Don't just inquire at a club's rescue operation. Contact some of the breeders listed. Ask if they are retiring any of their dogs or if they have had a dog returned to them.

That's how I've gotten all 3 of my corgis. Mine are all from Karen Baker at Crystal Corgis listed in the Mayflower club, she is president. We got our first guy 8 years ago at the age of 5, then we asked if she was retiring any of her dogs, she was a 4…

That's how I've gotten all 3 of my corgis. Mine are all from Karen Baker at Crystal Corgis listed in the Mayflower club, she is president. We got our first guy 8 years ago at the age of 5, then we asked if she was retiring any of her dogs, she was a 4 yo female. Recently she contacted us to see if a 4 yo male who was returned to her might fit into our pack. We just picked him up on Saturday. After getting our first from her I've kept her up to date on how the dogs were doing so she knew us and that's why she asked if we were interested.

So go directly to the breeders and ask.
