Very cool! I love watching the Dog Whisperer. I don't always agree with all his methods, but then again he works with some scary, scary dogs that I would be afraid of. I have learned a lot from his show. For instance, the way he explains that even if a dog is hesitant or fearful or seems upset, the most effective thing is often to simply show them what we do expect. The first time that Jack was in the car with us and we stopped somewhere on the way home and my husband got out of the car and ran in a store, Jack started to whine a bit when "daddy" went out of sight. I simply said "Jack, no" in a calm voice, then paused and when he was quiet said "Good boy!" and continued to praise him occasionally the whole time he was quiet. And that was the end of that; problem avoided. I think in the past I would have thought "the poor dog is upset" and tried to "comfort" him, thus unwittingly telling him that he was right to be upset.<br />
