I love this photo!! Seanna too was a Houdini whenever we crated her. She actually DESTROYED a soft sided crate when she was a puppy--absolutely chewed it to shreds to get out. Then she'd climb OVER the gates we had set up to keep her in the hallway. Finally we went to a hard sided kennel, that she has yet to figure out. Good luck!

Your Scout story reminds me of an early Linus episode. I thought I had secured him in his canvas crate. While making coffee, I turned around to see him in the kitchen grinning! We returned to the bedroom and the crate - but this time I hid immediately outside the door. Well, that little scamp pawed the zipper, on the inside, just far enough so that he could insert his snout and "snout" the zipper the rest of the way down! He would work hard getting all his fluff out the opening and ta-da! Smart…

What an adorable pile of fur! Regarding the potty training - doesn't it seem like it always comes in multiples? I feel like Fergie will go forever - well, maybe more like over a week - and boom, one accident after another. It will happen I suppose. Good thing they're cute!
