Well.. Gina they do have a trial size but it is not free. We got for free because we order it from the Pet Expo. The representative put some promotion code for us. Maybe they have another free sample promotion now..? That I don't know.<br />
Anyway we plan to go to another Pet Expo next month and if we found their booth, yes we will try to order another free trial size bag there. If there is any Pet Expo around your area, try to find them and get a free one :-)<br />

When it comes to finding the right pet food, I totally agree with you. I am still not sure this food is the reason of Jeter's no shedding or just contribute some. But we are very satisfied about this food. This company has two facilities (one in Canada, one in Minnesota) and Minnesota one is USDA organically certified.<br />
We just ordered 7 lb bag and it will last about 3 months or more. After he finishes this bag, I will write again he is still a "no shedding dog" or not. Thanks for taking the time to…tag:mycorgi.com,2010-04-28:1150197:Comment:6555232010-04-28T19:21:25.915ZGina Mac/Fergie & Minniehttp://mycorgi.com/profile/GinaMac
Thanks for taking the time to answer all these questions. It amazes me how hard it is to find reliable reviews and recommendations of pet food. And just when you think you've found the right one, and consequently buy a 301b bag of it, you find out it really isn't "all that". The Fromm we have them on is made here in the USA, is family owned and receives good reviews - but their canned foods are not packaged here. Even though we use the dry, the whole' Wisconsin family owned' loses a little bit…

I am soooooo excited about Red Moon. I notice you can get a free trial sample online as well. Can't wait to switch over. Thanks again. Thank you so much for sharing…tag:mycorgi.com,2010-04-28:1150197:Comment:6554762010-04-28T18:28:19.765ZKimberliehttp://mycorgi.com/profile/Kimberlie

We give Jeter 1 greenie or dentastix in the morning. During the long walk on the trail every 2 miles I give him one or two pieces of little Bill Jack treat. After we come back home Jeter enjoys 1 piece of homemade frozen treat. (organic pumpkin and organic greek yogurt mix). He gets 1 biscuit for bed time.<br />
And Jeter gets 1 bully stick per week. He eats some veggies and fruits, too.<br />
We gave lots of treats for training before but now we're trying to limit treats and focus on better, well balanced…

This is sooo cool. One more question. Do you treat Jeter at all? Just wondering and if you do, what? I recently started Minnie on the senior version of Fergie's food, which was introduced by the breeder(Fromm). Fergie's coat is beautiful and not really shedding (although she just got rid of her puppy coat). I can definitely see where nutrition plays a big part. I just need to stop the treats - they have me well trained.:)

The brand name of food we feed Jeter is RedMoon.<br />
We went to the Pet Expo on March 21st and when we stopped at this company's booth, they had a free trial promotion. That's how we got a free trial package(2.5 lb).<br />
This food is not you can get at the pet store. You need to order from their website.<br />

You can pick base fomular (based on protein amount, chicken or lamb, vegetables), your dog's energy level, bag size, kibble size(seems like only regular now), supplements(there are 6 supplements and you can get 2 for free), and name your dog's food.<br />
I thought they give supplements separately but they are added to the food.<br />
You can check every ingredients and information from their website. <a href="http://www.redmoonpetfood.com" target="_blank">http://www.redmoonpetfood.com</a><br />
Like I said, price is pretty high but after we saw what happened to our dog, we thought it is worthy.<br />
The representative we talked with said after they got the order, pet food is slow cooked in small batches to preserve essential nutrients.<br />
Kibbles look so fresh and Jeter is crazy about it.<br />
We tried so many good dog food but he was not that excited about dry food until this one.<br />
I attach the photo of Jeter's food.<p style="text-align: left;"><img src="http://storage.ning.com/topology/rest/1.0/file/get/3126160588?profile=original" alt=""/></p> What food are you feeding? What food are you feeding? And what type/brand of supplements? I have a sweet little tri-color pem girl who is shiny but skinny. She's long bodied, eats like a piggy, but isn't putting on a lot of weight. Any ideas?

Where do you find these special mixed bags? and the extra supplements sounds like a good idea. We just started doing it for joints and so far we can see its working. Maybe for some for the coat will work too.

Wow, that's great! Congratulations! I'd bet the new food + supplements is helping a lot. Sidney is on Rotations food and he gets garlic/yeast/omega-3 tablets from Petco and he barely sheds at all.
