That's awful-I can't imagine but it seems to be happening lots lately (people leaving their pets behind) :( A friend of mine just became mom to a guinea pig who was left in a cage on a driveway in the heat ....

To be honest I'd *never* thought I'd ever let my dog off leash or go to an off leash park. But I'm so glad we gave it a try-he just loves it and the social aspect is so good for him. We taught him to go off leash by using a 50ft line and two of us sitting fifty feet apart and just calling him (to get his recall down pat) then we went off leash in a fenced park when no one was there-the big step was a real off leash with dogs in it, definitely a leap of faith for me (I'm a little over protective lol) but it worked out! So glad it did :)

You are TOO lucky!! Adopted both right here AND as pups!! We drove to Meadow Lake Sk. to adopt Mikey :)

We've found Mikey to be really energetic too-we just discovered the off leash dog parks about a week ago and they are a god send-he really gets tired from all the running and playing :)

I think Tiida's growing spurt has slowed a little bit... Still very adorable of course =p I just brought her to her first swimming session, and she loved it! Wow.. How is Finnegan doing? Is he getting any bigger?

Thank you. Finnegan is very adorable... I love the way he sleeps!! I'm still amazed by how fast Tiida is growing. Sometimes I wish that she could stay a puppy forever.... but then I'm also looking forward to take her to swimming and hiking.... hehe... by the way, I used to live in Edmonton too :-)
