You have some great looking dogs!!!! Thanks for the greeting!!
I will not be able to make it to the SP Picnic but I will attend the one in Wake Forest near me. I would love to come to both but my other hobby is mule riding and I will be camping and riding the Uwharrie National Forest that weekend!!!! Hope we gave good weather for both!!! Thanks! Shannon
Hi Chepstow, I was sorry to hear that Tenby was not feeling well, I hope he is better now. I have been having a great summer out at the Lake. Edward has been spending so much time in the water that his paws started to itch...so my mom has to dry them real good and put some ointment on them every time we go out there which has been often. I only daintily go in for a swim when I need to cool down whereas Ed runs up and down the beach all day chasing dragonflies and bugs. I get tired just watching him. I hope your summer is going good. lovingly, Gem
I wanted to circle back about the possibility of co-hosting a corgi gathering/picnic late summer or fall. I really would like to help make this happen. We have only had our corgi for a little over a year, so we are new to the world of corgis, but we enjoyed the corgi picnic last year and would like to be part of one again this year. If you all have a good set-up and are willing to host it, I would be more than willing to help plan and publicize. Would it be easier to swap email addresses and/or phon numbers to try to talk and coordinate ideas? My email is heatherbl@bellsouth.net. I hope to hear from you soon!
Hope Tenby is feeling better. Your story with the treats and pills reminded me of several years ago Sparty was on several medications that I carefully buried in treats for him. Until the day that I dropped a pill and he caught it and swallowed it! Now if I have to medicate I just toss the pill to him. Much easier having a real "pig" around.
Roger/Laurie - I think that sounds like a great option! If our yard was fenced, I would offer, but it is not. It sounds like you have a great set-up for a possible corgi meet-up. Where are you all located? I'd be happy to work with you to coordinate planning. Heopfully we can get this off the ground and plan something for late summer/early fall? Maybe even wait for September when it might be a little cooler outside?
Hi! It looks like a few people, myself included, are wondering about the corgi picnic this year, and you seemed to know what was going on last year... Any idea on what the plans are? Thanks!
I am soooo sorry, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I just got home from work and that's why I didn't awnser earlier. I always give my dogs the gel caps or tabs...I used to know the dosage for the liquid. Please keep me updated! I work again in the am so I may not get back to you right away.
Yes, I would definetly give him 1 benadryl, this will help the itching and make him tired.
You could also take a lukewarm cloth and hold it gently on each eye but a seperate one for each eye. Good luck and let me know how he is doing. Poor baby!
Thanks! Your boys are adorable. Our Mickey has had two "sisters" in his life so I think he would not enjoy being an only corgi. I had three for a few years which was bit of a hand full since the elder gentleman, Rude did not really like the other two.
I really do want a red headed tri Laurie:) Unfortunately I just put my $ away for Zip my overweight Corgi project and the same amount for a LARGE fence project and am hoping he will be up to date on his shots (I asked them to be). I also have 4 barn kitties that all need some shots and spay/neutering ...so I guess I'll have to pass:(
How have you been? I have meant to message you but it's been a long snowy winter and busy as well! I still would like to someday visit your area of the country...I hope to take a year off from breeding and just enjoy the dogs I have....and Zip! What have you been up to???
Help! I am being held hostage away from the computer by a husband that retired too soon! It is too cold for him to work in his pole barn so he is managing me. (he was a manager at HP for 30 yrs before moving here & becoming a technician) He went to work today to "help out" Thank God! We are having cold and snow, I am ready for Spring - had a little warmth, tulips started up in the pots and Sonny at them (of course) Lucky is trying to walk again! "Kerthump, kerthump, PLOP" He does it after the lights go out. We did find something that Sonny will chase, 1st and only thing - snowballs! Had plenty of them for him, then tries to bring them inside. Corgis, they are so much fun. Hope you have lots of good weather!! I am going to need to make a trip to MD to see my parents, both are failing. Don't know what will do with the boys.
Lol, maybe it is a "Tri Trait" ! Sparty blows out his cheeks with little woofs and it is hard to stay mad because he looks so silly. He usually is in trouble for thinking he gets to control a situation such as growling when some one is leaving the house or bossing Misty and the cats around. He has a bit of a God Complex!
