It's funny you say that, 'cause when we first got Lilu we had no idea she had beagle in her. The foster home said she was full corgi, and she was only 10 weeks old so it wasn't as obvious as it is now. She had a brother and a sister, so I still wonder if she was the only one with a beagle dad or not. Not that I'm complaining of course - I think she's perfect the way she is. I kind of love when she does the beagle bay sometimes. And obviously the beagle came out more and more as she got older.
That would be great, thank you very much. Harley just received her final shot and is recovering from her surgery (we had her spayed). As soon as she is fully recovered, the first place we'd like to take her is Park Bench Cafe at HB's central park.
Oh thank you... My Zany was adopted by me n my partner 8 yrs ago and he has Seperation Anxiety. But otherwise he
is a very people friendly smilely corgi
Thank you for the message. We know we are gonna have to work hard with heathcliff but we also know it is well worth it for him to have a home and feel comfortable in this world. Do you have any specialized corgi training tips?
Dear Lucy, Ricky-Rafu & Wendy, I want to thank you for ALL the messages you've contiuned to send even when I've been too sorry to respond! It's been a rough first half of the year for our family. We lost my step Dad to cancer at the first of the year. Then immediiatley following my sister's 2nd dog was found to have bone cancer and lost that battle too! So anyway it's been tough but THANKFULLY Callie & Cooper are just fine and WE'RE BACK! So Thank you for being here. Lori Callie & Cooper!
Hello and thank you for the welcome! My little girl's name is Sophie and she'll be 2 in December. Yes, they are absolutely addicting. I don't understand how anyone could not fall in love with those faces :) Sophie is definitely a handful with a mind of her won but what a delight. She loves to give what I call a "Corgi Wrap". She jumps on the back couch cushion and wraps herself around my neck and kisses my face. What more can you ask for after a hard day? :)
hey thanks for the lovely message, Wendy. "they grow up too fast" - that's what's always on my mind. will treasure every moment of ah jai's puppyhood. and yeah, i've lived in hong kong all my life. you been here before? ;-)
Wendy...Sage and I have been having a great week we are going to our 2nd Therapy Dog visit in 2 days....the downside to that is that I need to hire a cleaning lady since I'm gone all the time...I guess that will be wishful thinking:) Thank goodness I can take a dog to work with me so the others get out too!
Have a great week and i'll catch up with you this weekend!
When I got my first Corgi puppy, I purchased a few puppy books because I had not had a puppy in 15 years and I thought I could use a refresher course. Two of the books I read advised against getting littermates because of the problem of them bonding stronger to each other than to people. One book said that only dog experts should do this and they know better so they don't. The first time I went to see my puppy at 3 1/2 weeks, the breeder said she would never place 2 littermates together. She was telling that to another woman looking for 2 puppies. The breeder almost quoted exactly what I had read in the books. Check it out online. There are lots of links about that subject. I ended up getting my puppy and then several months later her 1/2 brother(same mom, different litter, different dads) who was 2 years old needed a new home because his owner died of cancer. We took him in and they get along great.

Thanks for the welcome! I've never in NJ but our 2 cats were named after a favorite show/movie of ours and we couldn't leave her out!
Thanks for the welcome! :)
I believe that is from The Shining. Jack Nicholson. Your husband can not be that creepy!!
I like that LUCY & RICKY!
When my husband & I first got married, he would come home from work and in his siliest Ricky Ricardo accent he would yell, "Lucy, I'm home!"

Hi Wendy!

Sounds like you got lucky.
