There must be lots of corgwyn in eastern WA...
I know there's Kathleen Mallery, the breeder in SW Idaho (Parma?), and my neighbors here in Seattle recently got a gorgeous Pem tri from a breeder in Sandpoint.
He is very cute! Right now I have a pem and am getting another one for Christmas but someday I want to have a cardi too. It is so nice to hear of people near me who have corgis. The only one I knew of was the lady I got mine from and then I noticed that at each end of my street there is one but I don't see either one out much.
I totally know what you mean about there never being breeders on this side of the state! Luckily, Erik and I found one in Spokane and we bought two back in March. by this time next year, we hope to be breeding them :) I have seen a few people with corgis around this area, but I have only met one cardi, and her name was Molly and she too was a brindle, just like Tucker! Corgis are the best dogs ever :)
Don't worry, I am from the west side, but I go to school at WSU :) I love both sides, but I think my corigs prefer the snow on this side of the mountains. Tucker is so adorable!
When the little Cardis were born, the breeder in France ask me to choose between 5: 1 red & white, 1 brindle, 1 black & white, and 2 tricolored, I first choosed the brindle one, but it was already choosed by someone else, so I took the B&W...and this is Uyanga !
What about Tucker's brothers and sister, for the colors ?
Hey!
You can just call me Lil'. Actually we used to have a siberian husky, who was also either wolf or coyote. He was the cutest dog ever! Also, the corgi that we are going to get in the litter of pups was also the only boy there! He will be sooooooooo cute when fully grown!!!!
Hi Lil,
Pems are soo cute. I actually didn't know there were any other kind till I started seriously looking for a corgi. I'd never heard of cardigans or seen one to know what I was looking at.
Once seen and compared, I found I preferred the cardi because they are just a little bit calmer, and I need that. Even though they mature at just a bit larger.
Tucker was one of a litter of all boys!
My grown son (who lives in San Antonio, TX.) kept saying, "You should get a Jack Russell, Mom!" Good grief! I don't think so! I need a calm, laid-back dog who can walk at the slow pace I have now, and be content with several short walks a day, rather than one long one.
So far it seems to be working wonderfully!
Hey Kathie!
Guinness is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, and he is tri-colored. My dad actually thought of the name Guinness from beer. : p There is also a pem named Guinness. He has his own website! You should check it out! I will write back soon!
We visited the corgi pups a week ago, they were adorable! The one we picked out is the cutest one there. Also his name is Friday but we will name him Guinness!! I will load a picture on the computer and put it on this site very soon!!
