So you should hold a treat that is easy to take nibbles off of (like cheese or a small piece of hot dog) in the angle at the base of your fingers between your thumb and your index finger. Then have Mochi sit, hold your hand up in front of her face so she can smell the treat. Then gradually move your hand backwards toward her head until she's sitting upright. In the beginning she will likely need to lean on you to do this. If she's on her tippy toes, this doesn't count. Once she sits on her butt, THEN allow her to start licking/nibbling the treat. Hold her there for as long as she can sit up, and then let her down. Repeat this a few times until she is tired. If you do this each day her tummy muscles will get nice and strong, and hopefully she'll get the idea! I hope you can decipher that....if I get a chance I'll try to post a video showing it. :)
Hi ! It was nice meeting you and Mochi! =) Here's a picture i managed to snap of mochi. I was able to get this picture only because she smelled treats in my pocket!
Hello! I was wondering where and when the meetup is, if there is one, this saturday? Bailey and I missed the one in SF this past Saturday, so we'd like to try to make the south bay one as a make-up. Can you let us know ?!?! Thanks!
Mochi is very pretty and sort of remind me of my Parker. I was wondering where did you get Mochi? Parker is from Briar Creek Kennel in Corning, CA. We are sort of interested in find our dogs siblings.
yes, there was definitely a lot of corgis there! i was having a hard time keeping tabs on kaijuu! but luckily we had those body leashes .. so when he turned sideways i was like OH thats kaijuu! haha :X maybe i did see mochi..when we were under the tree, then we went to the bench..
Wow, you commented a long time ago, but I'm not going to puppy socials anymore. I felt strange when people asked oh how old is your puppy? Mine is 12 weeks! and I would reply um, 9 months. She does go to daycare there now once a week! I just noticed you have a blog.. off to check it out now!
