We are in Eastern Washington, about 30 mins from Idaho border. But my parents live in Washougal, Washington, just east of Vancouver, and they had just a skiff of snow this morning. It melted off faster than ours. Although all we have left is the snowballs from the snowman.
I actually use Zukes but that's good as just a treat. He doesn't like them for training. To help with training we started to use Pet Botanics Rolled Meat. We cut it up really small and he really reacts to it. I know of the island you live on. I've never been there before but i've been really close just outside bellingham area.
Thank you. I cant believe you got that from the pictures of her but your right. She is our sweet sensitive girl. She is too nice to our puppy, sweeter than she was to her own.
Hi Carole & Sophie! Thank you so much for the warm welcome. We're very happy to be new members here! Sophie is so adorable... and so lucky to have been rescued by you. Yes, it's so nice to take Picasso to work with me everyday...
Sophie, I just love looking at your photos. You have the sweetest face and kindest eyes. No wonder your mommy is so devoted to you. Such friends are wonderful.
Hi Carole and Sophie! Sidney is not wanting to walk too far. I have to make him walk slow so he steps on his bad leg. It's sad, but I have to hope he'll get better as time passes. He's only 4 weeks post-surgery. He's in fine spirits but I can tell he misses our walks.

Hi Carole, I agree with the "every bite" concept. Sophie LOVES her food. She gobbles! We took her to the U of Florida when she was abotu 11 months (at the direction of our vet) and the chief of ortho at the university saw her. He did NOT recommend hip replacement either. He said a lot of vets won't do it on dogs with such short legs. He did recommend the FHO but wanted us to wait until she was older. Well, she is older now (3 in Nov.) but seems to be doing very well so far. We had our vet give her a series of Adequan injections and it was amazing what a difference they made. I had discussed this with the vet at the University and he also recommended them. But, thanks again for the pumpkin tip. I know she will love it and so will Max. Good luck with your Sophie. She is really a beauty! I showed my husband and the first thing he noticed was her tail! We've always wanted a Corgi with a tail!
Yes, we are a BIG Corgi family here. When I signed up, I was #17 and look how many we have now. You can get all kinds of helpful ideas from "experts". There's lots to learn about these little critters. I've been told Corgis are like potato chips, you can't just have one. . . .LOL
