I just joined this website and remembered we met at one of the Tampa corgi meetup. How's Lola? My corgi's name is Mac.
I've wanted to enroll Mac in some sort of pet therapy class as he has a good tempermant for it. At one point there was a meet-up group in Tampa but I can't seem to find it again on their website.
Hope to meet you and Lola again on the next meetup!

It might seem easier but you don't get a good idea of all the rules/regs involved in going into clinical environments and the liability you have as the handler. You can do the Delta course at home and then be evaluated as a team. Our evaluator is ill now and won't be able to evaluate here in Tampa for a while so we're trying to get a new one trained.

At 9:54pm on February 4, 2009, Sam said…: Dog training clubs are usually a good place to start. Many folks take obedience classes and get a CGC or Canine Good Citizen certification on their dog. Some clubs offer training for therapy work and have an evaluator come to certifiy dogs at the end of the class. There are several therapy certifications. I was certified through Therapy Dogs International. Best of luck.

I never knew anyone growing up named Natalie either......my brother starts dating a girl named Natalie is just seemed weird....lol. Did you grow up hearing the Natalie Wood joke a million times in your lifetime....I did, it got old real quick! Lola is adorable and love her name! It is so much fun watching them grow up!
