Hey Jane- I think you're going to love this. You know what a handful R/R has been, tho' getting lots better. Now Jack suggested adopting 2 DONKEYS! Just what I need, haha. Apparently the Big Island, HA is over-run with donkeys and there's a rescue program shipping them to the mainland for $200/per. I don't know why thinking about Livvy herding your goats made me think of this.
Tucker just seems to be a calm dog. Lance doesn't seem to like fast movement or certain noises, startle him, like some my niece made tonight when I had him on the leash near me. I do feel bad for him. I wish I could take her for a stroller ride and take him on a walk, but I don't think that would work real well, at least not me by myself. This is a busy busy week, full of activities. My niece threw the ball over the gate for Lance to fetch but then cried when he got it, lol. I had him drop him and gave it back, and the cycle continued...until I said all done!!
My daughter noticed on Lances leg tonight that he has something that maybe looks like a hot spot, ugh. Seriously, I am taking a big breathe right now, and telling myself it could be worse...and hopefully doesn't get to that point...it needs to start getting better. Tucker goes for his yearly check up on Saturday. We were hoping to make it 4 weeks this time before having to see the vet again for Lance. It looks like I will be calling the vet tommorrow at nap time and hopefully get some advice over the phone and not have to bring him in again. Thank You so much for replying to all my posts. I feel like I am starting to sound like a broken record, posting way too often, hence the title of my last post, Its me again, even I am getting tired of hearing myself write...or would that be seeing my self talk...lol :) Sigh, but thanks so much for reading and responding. Off to bed, its late!!!
Here is a pic from yesterday. Lances free time out of the kitchen. I wish he wasn't such a nervous nelly, I really would love to try the thundershirt with him this week, but unfortunately don't want to spend the money on it, but maybe I really should. She cries, he barks. We went to the store this morning to get a booster seat for the kitchen table, come home ate lunch and now she is napping. Yay, a nap!! :) Lance is enjoying his free time, out of the kitchen resting, him and Tucker are both resting right now. Tucker is so calm and is handling it ok, although I do want to watch him, since I don't really know for sure. I don't want her to startle him or something. So far so good!!
OK. Let's toast to great friendship and fine wine. We'll sip so many glasses, someday soon, that our corgis will have to herd us back to our rooms, before we fall off our bar stools.
Hi Jane, I haven't used the satin balls myself but there should be lots of recipes online. I think basically it's just a very high calorie home made food that the dogs find irresistible. I think you can feed it long term along with kibble but I haven't looked into it that closely to be honest.
Yes, I love corgis with tails. Yewbee had one that would gently wave like a little flag when she came prancing back to me from a potty run in the backyard. When she turned her back to me, as a sign that she wanted me to scratch her rump, it would gently "slap" me in the face when I bent down close. She was such a happy dog - a real "tail wagging" dog. That's why I want one with a tail - so that I can see, among other ways, when it's happy.
Hi Jane, sorry I forget to check my page sometimes so just saw your comment! I think Franklin is getting the prairie food? I can't remember but I know it is one of the 32% protein ones so either the prairie or the wetlands formula. I had him on the salmon one for a while, then saw it only had 24% protein and we had done a urinalysis on him and he had crystals in his urine and the vet said it may be better to feed higher protein. I switched to higher proteins and the crystals are gone. Whether it was by coincidence or what, I have decided to stick with the higher protein formulas! I COULD NOT believe Frank lost 4 pounds in 2 months though. I was shocked and felt like I was starving him!
The more the merrier!!! Happy household there. My Llasa brother is only 9 months old and he can be very annoying, always picking on me!! I guess I was too used to being an only child.

Hi Sage,
I love your page but I'm having problems reading your bio. And, how many corgi siblings do you have? You are soooo lucky, all those corgis!!
