Thanks for the compliment for Hannah and Chase. Chase is not our dog, but our friends dog that Hannah seems to like...she sure is growing faster these days!
I want you and Farley to meet Odin! I love him..my dream dog! He gets his second set of shots this week:) There is a corgi meet up on December 5th...but I can't bring him to the dog parks yet:(
Odin was born on Sept 12th:) my default is the only pic i have of him right now, she will send more as he gets older. The breeder called me to tell me that another person called to buy the dog. Since I inquired first she asked if i wanted it, so right then, that second i had to say yes or no...i said yes:) or "i want the puppy" lol. I graduate school in a few months, so i will be out of my aunts hair. Plus Odin will be with me at my boyfriends house since i am there so much lol.
Rachel has been helping me out so much:) I bought his crate yesterday, and his first puppy Kong toy. The breeder told me that I am allowed to go to the Corgi Picnic, will you be there? He will only be 9 weeks at that point soIi have to keep him on the blanket with me.
I get to visit him at 6 weeks, and he comes home on Nov 6th!!!:):)
..I am driving my boyfriend nuts because i can't take the smile off my face lol
You are in for such fun this summer! Congrats on your addition! Love and spoil him rotten, but make him behave as well. Corgis can take over before you know it!
He's adorable!
oh how CUUUUTE!!!!! Good luck with that adorable little guy! I'm both a corgi AND cat person now :) Four of my cats (all indoor cats) were horrified by the puppy at first; the puppy barked at them and chased them. The fifth is a registered therapy cat who deals with dogs all the time at nursing homes, and both accepted and ignored him. Eventually my youngest - also a therapy cat but startled by this invader - became his pal. The other three.... well, it's still iffy. :) Still, nobody has ever scratched him that I know of, and he's never hurt them in return! He thinks they are funny meowing puppies, I think....
Good luck! (I had a bunch of welsh names in mind originally .... but ended up with Frodo! I did think that Grendel would have been cute, and considered it carefully....)
Oh this will be such fun for you then! At times it gets a bit over whelming but boy is it ever worth it. The love, companionship and loyalty you are given is like none other. Just remind yourself that they are exactly like a baby, only they do grow up faster. So remember to enjoy each day because before you know it they will be an adult dog. Take lots and lots of pictures and video....and don't forget to share them. Can't wait to see them with him in his forever home :) !
Thanks, that's my grandson. Unfortunately they moved to Texas last year so he is not over much anymore but he really liked our animals. Whenever we talk to him on Skype he wants to see them. Good luck with your beautiful puppy!
I stopped cat chasing immediately when the corgis were puppies. A firm, dramatic No will work. Now I have noticed the cats starting the chase game but it is much more respectful (the corgis don't jump on them and take turns being chased) If the no doesn't work a leashed corgi (or doberman) stops everything!
Thanks for the comment and encouragement. Actually everything else is going on great...thanks to Wendy, the breeder. You can tell she put a lot of time in with the pups and we are now reaping the rewards. Not much longer and it will be mid-May and you will have your bundle of joy. How exciting! What all have you bought so far for the pup?
Congratulations on your new baby! I know how excited you must be. We just got Murphy back at the end of February and we were so excited, it was like bringing home a new baby. Good luck on the name search and hope everything goes well when you go to pick him up. :o)
