Sam, you seem to have enormous amounts of great information!!!! Our vet want us to put our Sonny (40.8 lbs) on "lite" food as he obviously needs to lose wt, I have had him on a lesser amount of our other corgis food for a year, and he has gained 5.8 lbs! I have been very ill and not paying attn, I feel terrible. Anyway, can you recommend a good food? The vet did not. Thank you. Carol, Lucky and Sonny

Hi Sam! Thanks for your comment on my blog post. I am so excited to start agility. Sky is actually my Aussie, but it just doesn't feel fair to talk about Lyla, my corgi, and never put anything about him on here too! I was wondering, how do you practice outside of class? Our Agility class is once a week, and I do not have any agility equipment at home (as I'm assuming is common for most people). Did you buy the equipment to practice at home, or is the once a week on the equipment enough?
Hi Sam...by the way, we don't have a pool and don't know anyone with one. In this part of the world they are rare...we have a very short summer season. However, we do live on an island and when the North Atlantic gets warmer, will take him swimming in the ocean, which he LOVES! Joy and Butter
As always, Sam, you are a fountain of knowledge! I'm not sure if rough housing is the reason why Freya's tooth loss is more bloody than most dogs are or she may have that clotting issue. I truly appreciate the information you give out on a daily basis.
hi there, i see you are a head member of the sunshine state corgi rescue, and i was wondering if you have any advice as to a good pet therapy group in the local area. i'm from tampa, and i think lola and i have what it takes. i looked into the sunshine state corgi rescue before i found lola. thank you for all your hard work!
Hi, from a fellow fluffy owner.
Your Corgi is adorable!

Hi, Sam. I just wanted to formally introduce myself. I'm Clara, Brodey's mom. I understand that you were a great help to Gloria and her two Corgis that need new homes. I would love to offer my assistance with the SCR. I am still working on my husband to volunteer our home and love to fosters. He is afraid that if they are in bad health, they will bring something contagious to our boy or that it isn't fair to Brodey to bring another dog into HIS house. I think his biggest fear is that I will keep them. I would like to help. Is there anything else I can do for you guys?
Sam, I was looking at your pictures and the corgi has a wheel chair it looks like? If you dont mind me asking what happened. My neighbor has a Dashound that is in one of them also. She jumped off the bed when she was a pup and broke her back. Also I think it is fantastic that you are into corgi rescue.
Hi Sam, Thanks for your reply.
Yes Bailey is neutered and has graduated from his puppy class with flying colours. In the class, he was perfect and mastered all commands but the moment we got home, he would torment Truffle. I guess it's just him being a boy and in his teenager stage, where energy is abundant and he just want to play all the time. I make the effort to walk them everyday and let them run and chase in the field to vent their energy. They would be exhausted but when we got home, Bailey would continue to annoy Truffle, which then ends up with fights. Do you think it's a personality problem?
Sam: that was so beautiful about Zen. What a wonderful dog and wonderful person you are for taking the time and energy to give him the best last years.. Your dogs are beautiful i loved your pictures.. thank you for writing such a lovely tribute to this big hearted little dog.
Hi Sam,
I need your help and opinion on this please. Bailey is now 9 months old and Truffle 21/2 +. Since I bought Bailey home, I think Truffle just tolerates him but doesn't bond with him. They don't get along as well as I would love them to. Is this normal for them to play fight all the time? sometimes i have no idea whether they are playing or really fighting. Bailey is the one, who usually starts the neck/butt/legs biting then Truffle would get really agitated and bites back.
I just can't put them in the same room at the moment because they would just constantly fight, which defeats the whole purpose of getting Bailey. (To be a companion for Truffle)
I'm having our first human baby due in Jan and I don't think I could cope if the two doggy kids keep on misbehaving and resenting each other and fight incessantly.
Any suggestions? perhaps we have done something wrong in the training or is it just personality mismatch? How do i get them to like each other?
Help! Thanks so much.
Thank you for the input, Sam. I told the breeder I really appreciated that they care about the pup's health so much! I hope my little guy grows up to be as healthy and beautiful as any of yours. :]
