The thin low clouds just under the sun (at 0:37) are at Cady Pass, the ancient route across these mountains. You can't see it in this light, but at 0:43 in the white bowl below us, 52-5400', is a very recent large slab avalanche, very unusual for June. The panorama begins and ends with the NE face of Glacier Peak. The great rocky peak at 0:41 is called Bonanza, one of the biggest nonvolcanic peaks in Washington Sate. We came through Spider Gap at 1:00 the previous day. The sharp horn at 1:19 is the north side of Fortress Mtn., which we climbed the next day from the opposite, south, easy side. This is the popular Spider Gap/Cloudy Pass/Buck Creek Pass loop.<br />
