Does anyone's corgi like to chase a laser pointer on the floor like a cat? I was sitting with the sun shinning on my watch which was causing a stream of light to bounce on the ceiling and my Lily was just staring at it moving her head as i moved the light so i thought maybe she would chase a laser pointer also and sure enough she loves going back and forth trying to capture the red dot. I thought it was pretty funny and very cat like. She does enjoy cat toys on a string so maybe she is part cat lol. My little cat-dog corgi.

It can be great fun to watch them. I would use caution, though: I used one briefly with my dog and didn't like they way he kept looking for it after I put it away, so I looked online and found quite a lot of cases where certain dogs will develop an OCD-like condition over laser pointers, that can then generalize to obsession with light and shadows. Many dogs will be fine, but others might not. If you go on-line you can see the signs to see if your dog is at risk or not.
There was a Ceaser Millan episode were a dog had developed a ocd thing the owners had to keep him on leashe so they could keep his head up and prevent the dog from looking for it!! So I've never bought one.
Bear likes them, but luckily the one I bought clicks a bit when you turn it on and off, so he knows I have the laser pointer. When I turn it off and put it away, it's like any other toy, gone until mom wants to play again.
Lilli looked at the light for a bit, then straight up to the source of the light. She wasn't fooled at all. And that can't be good for the eyes.

If you make sure that the dog actually "catches" something at the end of the game, such as a toy when you turn it off, he may not develop the OCD traits of continuing to search for something that isn't there.

And, yes, I find many cat-like traits in the Corgi. I even find myself calling her "kitty" by mistake.
Great video Kerry...looks like lots of fun and exercise!

Wrigley loves it! I use it for exercise when it's too cold or rainy to go for a walk. :)
My corgi loves the laser pointer! I would say almost to the extent of OCD. When we sold our home we used the laser pointer to distract him and so when ever anyone would come over he would bark for the light to show off!! As he has gotten older he doesn't seem to think to much of it! I have a video if him playing with one!
My Lily loves the laser pointer, Brody absolutely hates it! In fact when he's being stubborn about coming inside all I have to do is use the laser pointer on the grass or patio and he runs right downstairs to his pillow.
