Stop asking me whether she is pure?

I LOVE my little girl and would NOT trade her for anything.

But I sometimes got the same question "Is she pure?" from the people who knows a little bit about corgis or from some corgi owner. I don't think there is anything wrong with my girl. I know she is pure and she behaves totally in Corgi-Style, but we have to admit that each dog looks different. Those beautiful ones which are considered close to the standard would participate in the dog shows. Those ones ain't we still love them to death. Just like us people, tall, short, slim, muscular....etc.

For curiosity, I want to know what make them think my girl is not pure, anything makes her off the "Standard"?

Here are some pics taken by a pet photographer. (Yes, I do want to show off my lovely girl as well ;-P)

Hi, I would simply consider the source; I have a purebred Corgi, and she looks just like a Corgi - but one of my Mom's friends asked if she was part Chihuahua? Huh!? She was quite adamant about it. (I think she might have had her breeds a little mixed-up! :) Apart from this particularly lady, I haven't had anyone else ask me if Lu is anything other than a Corgi. People are just... people.

She definitely looks like a corgi to me.  I have a cardigan and because of the tail and because she is a brindell, I used to get that all the time.  But it seems lately I hear "oh a corgi - I love them"  So I think they must be getting more popular - or people have seen more pictures of the Queen of England with her corgis

To Josh & Butters: A Jack Russell Terrier?! Seriously? Whoever asked must know nothing about DOGS...no even mention corgis....LOL... But that was funny...

She's beautiful! People think SIdney is a mix just because he wasn't docked and still has his pretty tail. We just need to educate the ignorant :)

Awwww . . . . she is so beautiful.  I love red heads !  What a little poser she is; smiling, putting her tongue out.

She looks pure to me, and even if she wasn't, she's still adorably beautiful.

I get the same questions.  Basil is taller, his legs seem longer and he's slim (for a corgi :-)).  I take those questions as an opportunity to talk about corgis!

YES. YOU GUYS ARE TOTALLY RIGHT!  ( I didn't know we all got those breed questions...)

I don't know about she is slim, lol, (24-25 pounds), but yes, she is strong and a little taller. But who cares, she still cannot reach the kitchen counter with that few inches, hahahahaha! ---She approves herself a pure Corgi in many different ways we discuss a lot on this site. She also has a tail, but not to long, just like a bunny tail (see below), and I absolutely adore this little wagging tail. --- DouBao is PERFECT for me!

I couldn't believe how little people know about corgis, but why would they if they don't own one. (If you do, you might not even know all of them, right?)

I really have no idea how people do not see that she is 'pure'.  No worries she is beautiful!  Every one ask me if my girl is a mini border collie because of her tail and coloring.  I mean really, a 'mini border collie'? Do those even exist.  You have nothing to worry about!  Your girls is gorgeous!
