Was inspired to find such a class after reading Sam Tsang's post about his dog almost choking. Thanks Sam!  This was organized by a national company called PetTech, they call it the PetSaver Program.  Very informative.  I hope will never need this information BUT in an emergency situation, the odds will be better because of this knowledge. It covered topics like:

Restraining

Rescue Breathing

Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Choking Management

Bleeding Protocols

Poisoning

Insect and Snake Bites

Just to name a few.  Even though this class was four hours long, I stayed focused the entire time.

Really good to know that this kind of class is available. It would be a good one for a local vet to offer.

Thank you! I'm always on the lookout for ways to become a better pet parent. I'm also a trainer so it could come in handy!!

Through a national company that has instructors all around the country: http://www.pettech.net/index.php

I googled pet first aid classes and a pet tech instructor in my area had a website and listed her next class, which I signed up for.  It was only $60 and soooo well worth the money!
