Loved the furminator.   Still use it every other day.

I use a tool like a furminator, but got it at Walmart.  Like it because it doesn't have sharp ends, but blunt ones.  Also less money.

Maggie loves the furminator!  It is absolutely the best tool for dealing with a double-coated fur-baby.  A couple of times a week will do the trick.

Love it and it works great. I mostly only use it when they are shedding heavily; the rest of the year I use a comb or sometimes a slicker brush.

Yes, I use one on Sophie and it works great. She just hates being groomed at all so I wanted the most efficient tool to make it easier on both of us. Be prepared for LOTS of hair coming out as you comb. I suggest doing it outside if weather permits. I have to rake up the fur balls in the yard around the table I do it on when I'm done. Just be sure not to use too heavy a hand, as it's metal and the teeth would hurt if you went at it too energetically, I think. Also, I think you'd be able to over-comb and remove too much fur if you did it too long or too often.
