Very glad they were able to locate his family!

Both of mine are chipped, in fact Katie has 2.  They forgot to mention to me that Katie was already chipped...which I should have known since she was a show dog...so I had her chipped.  Totally confused the vet when I had them check it at her regular visit a year after getting her because the one they located first was not the one they implanted.

This is a case where having a family dog chipped paid off ...............  Not a Corgi, but a family pet which was reunited with family.

I e-mailed this rescue group about the little guy.  They said he is still available for adoption.  That he is being cared for at their rescue facility.  They said that he is "super sweet".

Here is their information:

Most rescue groups scan for chips as soon as possible.  Many have their own scanners and veterinarians also have them.  They probably did not find one or possibly the Corgi's family did not keep their information on the national database updated.

Is the baby by any chance chipped?

Poor little guy looks sort of scared/sad.  I am generally not one for governments, state and federal, making new laws.  However, I almost would like to see it be mandated that ALL dogs and cats in all states must have microchips with information on their families and homes.

Thanks for posting. I did check to make sure it wasn't one of my pups that live in Kato. Looks fairly young? Poor pup!
