The Info from Little Legs Rescue:
We recently took 3 Pems from a mid-TN owner/back-yard breeder. Trigger, the oldest male, was intact and turned out (“light”) HW+. He’s been at our vet’s office in Greeneville, TN since we got him: has been vaccinated, neutered and had his HW treatment. He seemed to have a bad reaction to the HW treatment (swelling). On Thursday 5/12 he was in lot of pain and as of Friday 5/13, he is down in the rear and x-rays revealed a ruptured disk at T11 + T12.
Trigger can pee and poop on his own. He cannot walk: his hind legs don’t work anymore.
Trigger is about 7-8 years old. His former owners told us he used to fight with their other male Corgi, but whether or not this is true…we really don’t know because they told us a lot of things that turned out to be untruthful.
We have no foster homes that are experienced with dogs in carts (or willing to give it a try) :(
He needs to stay quiet, with low-activity for awhile, since he just had the Heartworm treatment, but he will need a cart to get around, once he gets the green-light from our vet.
He used to be an “outdoor dog” and was pretty scared when we first brought him in to the vet clinic but warmed-up to the staff very quickly. Please help us and Trigger by forwarding this email to other Corgi lists and potential adopters, etc. Trigger used to be a very happy-go-lucky dog and it's so sad to see him so depressed about being confined and unable to walk. He needs some special love with someone that can show him how fun it could be to have wheels.
Thanks so much. Attached is the only photo I have of Trigger: we will get more pics tomorrow and I will be more than happy to share additional photos and information with anyone.

Hi Katherine, someone else already posted the same thing here, i'm not sure if they posted in the adoption section in the forum, that is where the discussion and attention last the most.

oh poor little guy...I'd offer, but my house is definitely less than calming with a 4 month old cardi flopping around. I hope he gets a good home.

Good luck...if I hadn't just got Tank I would have volunteered to give him a home but now I'm at my limit plus !
