Hi, my corgi and I would love to come out and meet everyone next time there is a meet. Hope to see everyone soon.

That's so cool that Franklin will jump - Ripley likes the water and likes to swim (especially if other dogs are doing it and she reminds herself that she can) but she always needs a nice gradual "launch ramp" - no sudden drops. :)

Performance Dogs in Action has dock jumping! This makes me very excited! I want to see if I can't get Franklin to jump off a dock like he does rocks and ledges on the river!

Ripley herded me out of bed this morning. She let me snooze the alarm four times and then she decided that was enough. I didn't realize that's what she was doing at first, because she was just barking at me from her "down-dog" butt-higher-than-head position, but once I got up she stopped barking and went back to sleep. Would like to have her take a herding instinct test (with other animals besides just me and the cat). If I could train her to do that on a certain schedule she'd be a great support/service dog for my chronic lateness/procrastination. I need a little herding. :)

Thank you for the info. Franklin did a herding test too and did wonderfully but he has a condition that causes him to overheat quickly so herding is out of the question unless we do it in very short 5 minute increments. He seemed to do ok with agility but we likely would never be able to compete. The last rally class was just too slow for Mr. Smarty Pants so I think agility is what we will look into again and see how he tolerates it.

Hi Chloe and I take agility lessons from Performance Dogs in Action. She is in Pleasant Grove, just outside Sacramento, not too far from Sac airport. We had Chloe herding instinct tested, she passed, but chose to do agility. Rally, and agility is also taught there. Chloe just loves it! Chloe is a very high drive dog, and I am not athletic, so I am not the best but Chloe just loves it. The owner's name is Nola Jones.

Hey, can anybody recommend an agility instructor in the Sacramento Area? I've looked into it but had a hard time finding anybody accepting new dogs. Thanks!

So sorry Boo, Gracie & I missed the meet up. Hopefully in Sept after the Music Circus is over.

We just moved so we couldn't make the meet up this time - will this be once a month or more frequently?  Bella & Corkie now have an honorary corgi, Duke that will be joining as well!

Pics are great!  so glad there are other corgis in the area to get together.  We are in Folsom so give us a shout if anyone is close and wants to meet up.
