My dog Teemo has a condition called "parrot mouth" which is just a cute term that means your dog has a large overbite and some messed up teeth. It's adorable - but it also means when he does the corgi lay on his back with his feet up thing, his teeth come out and he looks like a redneck corgi.

There are many other "quirks" to Teemo, including the fact that he cannot play in the small dog park because he plays too rough. That's why I chose him after all, I needed a dog with more crazy energy than my already insane basset hound, but this means when the two are together, they just constantly body slam and tackle, but at the dog park with a corgi and a poodle, well, some people just don't get the crazy ones. So he plays with the pit bulls, most notably an adorable 12 year old dog in a wheelchair named Buster - they are best friends. He also tries to bury his bone in this little fur rug I have all the time - he just sets it on the rug then tries to move the fur onto it. What is that about?

This is the *best* photo I have right now of his weird mouth - it's hard to photograph the overbite.

I dont know if it is possible to be quirky at 5 months but i definately see the beginnings of some "quirgi" behaviours with Tharros! Grab and runs on anything dead or stinky while on walks, sitting behind me on chairs instead of my lap...unless coaxed for many minutes. Refusing to follow out of a room when the door is going to get closed....leading me to believe that there is a master plan of destruction formulating regarding something in said room. Attempts to herd vacuum AFTER it is shut off. Will bring me the nail clippers but throws a huge fit when getting nails clipped......the list goes on....which is why I ADORE my little Tharros!!!!

I do not know why I did not join this group sooner... Sparty qualifies in mulitiple ways: he barks happily at people that come in the house and growls when they leave, he hates getting his monthly flea stuff and allergy shot but waits for it while trembling, he runs away from nail clippers and tooth brushes, he loves to cuddle in bed but only with me unless I am not there then anyone will do, he has never seen a stinky pile that he does not want to roll in... you get the picture. A little nutty but I still love him. Izzy qualifies too but mostly because she sleeps in the most wild positions!

@Buddha. I totally relate. Buddha sounds very much like Rafa. BTW, Lucy is not perfect. haha. She is very picky with dogs. No rhyme of reason to what dog she'll love and others. Usually upon meeting a dog Lucy just looks the other way. She loves people. Rafa has never met a dog or person that he doesn't like. He even loves my cat while she's hssss-ing at him. I'm so nervous when he's around her. She's ready to claw his eyes out, and he's just jumping around her, "play with me, let's play" nub wiggling. He has no boundaries!

Lucy is my perfect little lady. But, Rafa more than qualifies. We re-homed him a few months ago and he is hands down the craaaaziest corgi I've ever owned. He is finally starting to settle in and he makes us laugh everyday.

My dog Buddha:
Engages in attention seeking, destructive behavior like carrying scissors and razorblades.
He loves to carry old cat poop and leave it on the porch for mother to find.
He is always finding and carrying in bread from outside.
Acts like getting in the car is the end of the world but almost immediately falls asleep in my lap once we are in the car.
He loves to watch espn sport dog shows.
Everyday, we play this game where he chases me to the kitchen and then I turn around to chase him and he runs as fast as his little legs to carry him to base (under my bed) then we turn around and do it over and over and over again!
he ALWAYS sleeps on his back and resembles a dead limp dog when in deep sleep.
makes noisy adorable yawns to get attention.
hates going outside unless it is snowing or is very cold.
must be the center of attention and will make you pay the price otherwise. Toilet paper and underwear are prime punishment targets.
plays faves at the dog bark. Will not let his fave dog bo play with other dogs.
Only really likes his parents and his mother's best friend. really does not like to be pet by strangers but likes to stay near people.
and the weirdest one: wakes me up every morning at 9am on the dot!
