So I was just wondering how many of you guys support your Corgis expressing themselves through fashion. My hubby gives me such a hard time when I dress Ein up. And I'm not even doing anything extravagant, just a bandana or a doggie t-shirt. Let me know what you guys think. Feel free to post pics!!!

I happen to think Ein looks handsome when he dresses up :)

Oh I finally broke down and bought Freya a shirt. She wears it when we go out--to Petsmart or wherever. I also put it on for pictures. I totally want to get her a rain coat! If she had one and I had rainboots I'd walk her in the rain. I may get her rain boots too because there's so much mud in Georgia (grant it, we just had some minor flood issues cause of the storm system we had.)

I doubt I'd ever put Freya in a sweater though, other than to take pictures. But, I am totally buying her a costume for Halloween! It would be her 1 year old present (I know, not so great actually, but better than the 6 month birthday spay job she'll get.)

I love Finn's hoodie, it's soo cute, Alice!
I don't dress Ein everyday. It's more of a special occasion sort of thing. Since we live in South Texas every time of the year we're in A/C so I guess that's why Ein doesn't mind his t-shirts or bandanas :) He has 2 shirts (a rugby - which he's modeling for the pic and one that has headphones on it that reads "I'm Not Listening!") Both we got at Target for 5 bucks or so and which I feel represent Ein pretty well; athletic but stubborn. lol. He has 1 bandana that's all black and white checkerboard that used to be mine when I was in college. He wears it when he feels like showing off his ska side. We'll probably get him a doggie Halloween costume as well. Hopefully something that'll match his sis' costume :)
Anyone know of a FUNCTIONAL white extremely lightweight sunshade that fits a corgi? I'd think about it. They get very hot in open sunshine, hiking above timberline. They're black tris. I stop and pack them in snow.
I'm thinking of cutting down a white T-shirt somehow, and keeping it wet on the dog's back.
FYI, after a summer's trial of the Chillybuddy dog-cooling vest, I endorse this product; I think it actually helps in hot sun where there's little shade. Reflective, with a cotton liner that must be kept wet.
I make my puppy clothes and bandanas! And Tank loves to model them, check out his great posing at www.corgiclothes.com

I see how cute the clothes are but DH always says no, big spoiler he is.

I had a coat for Luke when he was a puppy but that was just because he hardly had any undercoat and it was like...zero degrees out lol. Once in a great while I might put a bandana on them for special occasions but that's about it.
My boyfriend will NOT let me dress up Carter.  The only thing Carter is allowed to wear is his ohio state jersey on game days and maybe a Halloween costume.  Since we got Chloe he doesn't care as much.  I think he just thinks that boy dogs should not be dressed up (except for game day)

I don't like dressing up my dogs at all.  Even putting a Halloween costume on them is pushing the limits for me, though I think bandanas are fine since they are around the neck area only.  I do believe in functional clothing, though.  Yuki will most likely need a sweater this year, since he's nearly bald in spots from his hypothyroidism.  I don't think he's going to regrow his coat in time to guard against the cold winter.

Instead of dressing my dogs in fancy clothes, I get them fun collars and/or tags.  That way I can express their personalities (or my own likes/dislikes) without putting them into something that makes them uncomfortable.

Buddha has a blue camo tank that I put on him when visiting my grandparents home to keep the fur shedding down and also he wears it in winter to keep all the dirt off his belly. I still don't know where his Security tank went lol
Sooo yeah, he is functionally dressed. Lol
Where do you get corgi rain jackets and rain boots?  Other than places like Ross (since we'll never find what you find at our local Ross')  I checked out "Corgiclothes.com"  and have to say I did't see anything there very cute.  A rain jacket sounds VERY nice though.
You can start with something like this and work your way through searches until you find something that you like.  :)  I have this particular coat for Yuki and really like it, though I need to sew on an extra strap because it likes to slip sideways when he trots down the sidewalk.
