Thank you for the welcome. We hope someone will have a male corgi that needs a forever home.
We have a 7 year old female and she lost her brother to cancer. We all miss Skipper Lou and our hearts are ready to find a new little guy :)

Thank you! There seems to be a really large group of corgis in San Diego. There are a few out here, but I'm not sure enough for a group. We also have an Australian Shepherd. That seems to be the popular breed out here.
Thank you Geri and Sidney. Wow, you seem to have your hands full. I'm run off my feet with just one Corgi!!! I never knew how adorable they are until I got one myself. More precious to me than gold!!!

Hi ! Thank you for welcoming me. Mordy my son and I met Thor last Sat. So cute! He has strong neck and moves . He was born on Sept 3rd . I ve been studying online on how to housebroken. And also on crates, and playpens. And training. Ive had Basset hounds dogs while growing up but they only lived outside on backyard. So its a big challange for me and Mordy. Gulp. But Im exciting. I wonder how Thor will reach to me as I am deaf. Mordy is hearing.
That is what I'm looking to do too. Yes-Django LOVES to learn! He gets so excited. The lowest price 6 week beginner class I've found in my "area" is $90, and it's AKC, but I'd need to travel about 45 minutes. The next is $119 and is just 15 minutes away, and, the times are more convenient for me. But that's at a PetSmart. Any idea if those classes rank as being as good as the AKC clubs?
Django is 9 months old, and eventually I would like to get him into therapy-dogging as well!
I am still working with him on the basic commands right now. He was going to be a show dog for the breeder. But, unfortunately, her mother became ill, and she just does not have the time that she would need to continue to show. This is why I got him a few months later than a normal puppy. And, this is also why he was not taught typical commands such as sit, stay, down etc. He is doing very well-I have been giving him frozen peas as reward and he LOVES them!
We had a day or so last week of nipping, but thanks to the boards on here I tried a water bottle, and re-focusing him on toys, and he stopped almost instantly. When I met him I just fell in love.
Any tips on training would be greatly appreciated! I think I'm doing well so far but can always use suggestions. LOVE your playlist on here too!
Thank you for the welcome, Geri and Sidney! Dusty is getting better with the bigger dogs. Our biggest issue is with children. He starts barking at just the sound of a child's voice! I guess he just wasn't exposed to any when he was a puppy. I'm going to start taking treats on our walks and work on building a reward system! =] Sidney is beautiful! I love that his tail is undocked!! =D
