Forgot - look into adequan shots for dogs also. Great stuff...we have used it with our racehorses for yrs and it makes miracles. It would really help him.
hi and thanks for the welcome. Glad I was told about this site and found my way here. Love your pics....sorry to hear about the hip displaysia....bummer. My Phil started tohave problems like that. i switched him to the raw diet and all his problems disappeared eating real food. It is also cheaper and easier to feed and has tons of other benefits too. I was amazed how it helped his joints and hips so fast and his weight problem. Anyway just a thought for you and poor Sydney.
Thank you Geri! My Rudy looks like your Sydney, minus a tail. Ha ha. I also have a black lab Great Dane mix that at his prime weighed 138. He is 12 now and has lost a few pounds. He is so sweet and has a hard time with getting up and down in his rear end and hips. We have him on adequan shots and I think it works for him. Good days and bad. We also have two border collies from the same litter. They are 3 years old and full of energy. My Rudy runs the house and very attached to me as I stay home. I loved reading your page!
hi. sorry i didn't reply sooner (it's not like i don't want to talk about my corgi's!) i'm just having trouble navigating the website (high learning curve)
anyway, my corgi's are marco and his littermate belle. we bought marco, then, after her forever home didn't work out for her, we rescued belle. she was 1 year old at that time, and no one wanted her because she is deaf. she is magical - she is almost completely white. with her brother acting as her service dog, we have very minimal trouble with her deafness. she has other issues however, including the fact that she was just operated on for a mast cell tumor. we are now feeding raw food diet and hoping for the best!
you can see pictures of them on OCD (i haven't figured out how to upload photos on here yet..) thanks for asking!
Thank you for your welcome. Our loss of Domino was hard because she did become our pseudo child. We still miss her greatly, but we are very happy to have another Corgi with whom to share our love. They are the best dogs. :)
