Howdy everyone,

It would seem that summer is once again (like it or not) here which means fun in the sun with corgi's. Just wondering what's going on if anything around town. I'm in the Centreville area so happy to always meet with fellow Corgi's and their owners (mine just thinks I'm the food provider and toy thrower so used to it).

I just joined this group because I think it might be closer to me than DC. Glad to see so many corgi owners here AND that one post that there are 11 year olds. Mine will be 10 in April!

Winston's Mom here. Update is that Winston has a new Forever Friend as we rescued a Beautiful Sable Corgi named Sophie! She is two years old and even though it has only been a few months, she is completely a member of our family. You know, the only thing more fun than one Corgi is TWO!!!

If Samantha is in good weight and spirits I wouldn't worry.  Perhaps she is like me and eats to live rather than lives to eat.  Hope you are having a great weekend too.

Hi Louise, sorry it's taken me so long to replay back to you.  I was asking about the foods people have their Corgis on because it seems that Samantha isn't really eating her food like she really enjoys it.  She's just eating without the excitement.  Thank you for that link to ThePetFoodList.com site, I'll use it for sure!

Hope you have a great weekend!

I asked because Merlyn our corgi does.  He will eat anything.  Most of it goes through him faster than he can eat it.  We have him on NutriSource grain free buffalo and keep our fingers crossed.  We check on how dog food is rated on ThePetFoodList.com.  I don't think there is one brand that cogis do best on.

Hello Louise, No Samantha isn't having G.I. issues.  I bought her the same dog food she has been eating.  I was just wondering if there is a better brand out there that Corgi's can tolerate better.  I know I'm not giving her a brand she's been used to eating because she hesitates before eating even when I know she's hungry.  I have cooked carrots and mixed them in with her dry food and she does eat it better now.

Hi Becky,  We are corgi owners and live in Lexington, VA.  Is Samantha having G.I. issues?  Is that why you are changing foods?

Hi, I just joined this group.  A few months ago I adopted a 6 yr old female Cardigan Corgi Mix.  We live in Lynchburg.  Are there any of you close to us?  We would love to get together... Lynchburg has a new doggie park!!  Samantha (named by previous owner) is a very sweet little girl!  I want to be able to talk with someone that knows which brand of food I should be giving her because I have been trying different ones out and still cannot figure out the brand she was previously on.  Well.... anyone interested in getting in touch?
