I was in the kitchen and the TV was on in the TV room.  Suddenly there is frantic barking-as if the doorbell had been rung.  It stops and starts again a few seconds later.

Does anyone else have corgis who think the bell for the letters on Wheel of Fortune is the doorbell?

the boys do like to tell me when the door bell rings.  I tell them "thank you" and they keep barking.

Murray barks at TV doorbells and I just tell him it's alright it's just the TV and he quits.  He also knows the ring tones on my cell phone that I have assigned to people he likes that stop by frequently.  It can be hard to convince him that they're not coming to see him.

Sophie watches tv and barks at ALL animals. She also barks at the door bell.

Ha ha! That is so funny!!!!

We have one of those battery-operated doorbells. Every time ANY sound comes on the TV that even vaguely resembles a "bing-bong," Cassie goes bananas. And of course, where Cassie goes, Ruby goes, too: straight to bananaville.

No but our previous corgi, Arnie, would bark at door bells on the TV....yet we never had a doorbell.  He also would bark at any phones ringing on TV.  He taught himself to do that for our phone...which was terrific since I have a hearing impairment.  He was also the only dog we've ever had in the 34 years we've been married that howled at sirens...hell, he was the only dog that ever howled at anything.
