It occurs to me that we could save ourselves some cash if we shared some of the purchases that proved effective for corgi owners. For example, what collars, car restraints, lifters best fit the breed. I think it would be very helpful to know what purchases are most helpful, based on the temperament and anatomy of a corgi. I can highly recommend one item, a step-open, covered trash can that prevents dangerous foraging. I ordered it online and I turn it around when I go out, just in case my ridiculously smart corgi figures out how to step on it and open it, though it is pretty tall. It is trim and clean looking, which I love. It requires tall, kitchen trash bags and it has expensive bags designed specifically for the trash can which you can order, but it works just fine with plain old store-brand bags. It has a 10 year warranty and it is pretty solid. I have actually gotten compliments on my trash can. How often does that happen? I don't remember how expensive it was, but it was at least a worthwhile expense in my mind. I have had it for a few years and it still looks new. Sorry I don't have a link, but I added the name below so you can Goggle it at least if you are interested.

Ah hah...thanks for the lead to this wondrous contraption!  My son's dog, Charley the Golden Retriever, has figured out how to open the step-on trash can. Just to make everything perfect, Charley has a sensitive gut and so gets the doggy-wobbles every time he eats anything out of the ordinary. Son would be very happy to know of it...in fact, what a great birthday present it would make! :-)

Great idea to share this info. I know I've bought about 5 harnesses in the search for the perfect one. I think my favorite one is the easy walk harness. It clips in front or in back, so it provides a bit of versatility. You can use the back clip if you don't mind if they pull, or in front if you don't want them too. It fits really well to.

As for crates, I like the plastic crates that have doors that open from both the left and right side. AGain, they are more versatile. I don't remember the brand but I got it at Petco.

And if any of you like to go biking with you dog, I highly recommend the 'Doggy Ride' bike trailer. They are perfectly thought out and engineered for a dog. My favorite piece of equipment!
Kong squeaky tennis balls are our all time favorite toy. They are cheapest on Amazon.

My agility lead was made by Denise Corley. She takes orders at trials and sells them online. It is made to Becca's measurements, but is also adjustable.

I'm still searching for the perfect seat belt. Becca tends to move and gets the tether straps twisted up.
