Pure puppy bliss! I am so happy and proud to be a corg mommy! What an eventful day our family had yesterday :)

We started our journey at about 11am knowing we had a 3 hour car ride ahead of us to Wittman, AZ! But of course...we had to stop in Goodyear to get a chicken sandwich at Red Robin! Mmm... Living in the middle of nowhere sometimes gets ya realllll excited for normal food!

Onward! I knew only about 40 minutes away there was a little Nug waiting for me! But oh, Nug isn't so little anymore! Not compared to the last time I saw him! He came right to me and loved up on me. I was soooo happy. I know we were meant to be together :)

I took some pictures of Lindsay's good ole corg-gang so she can put them on her website. :) She liked my pictures so much she went out and bought the same Nikon DSLR camera body, but not the same lens :( So she wasn't getting the blurred backgrounds she wanted. BOY that was a challenge taking pics of all those corgis! Them suckers are fast! :) But we got it done.

Before we knew it I was on the way home with a little Nugget sleeping in my lap. The entire ride. He got a little anxious leaving all of his friends, but my good boy held his potty the entire way home! The second we walked in the door I put him in his little pen and he immediately made a river and a mountain on the potty pad! lol! I was so proud. Truly glowing in my proud momma moment! haha.

Our wonderful friends also surprised us with a welcome home party for our little guy. They went out and bought decorations, made him a sign, and of course brought pizza and snacks! It was wonderful. I'm blessed with not only a baby corgi but a wonderful Framily. :) Military life can be scary, but when we band together its not so bad.

Everyone loves nugget...I mean...how could you not!

:)
Your post from last week had a picture of his right ear down and the left straight up.
Seems to have reversed in a few weeks of growing or the picture was flipped?

I had read all the technics I saw out there "Ear tapping" to bring the ears up and it seemed cruel to me. I'm not judging anyone that does, if well done but I couldn't see the pup being home alone in his kennel with ears tapes up to bring the cartillage development on his floppy side.

He grew up with one just a bit crooked but it gives him personality. It's also probably in part because my wife couldn't stop snuggling with him and kissing his right ear. :)

How exciting! So cute. And please keep us posted on his progress. Take lots of pictures now. They grow so fast and some of them stay cute right through but, like growing children, some of them reach a gawky stage!

Congratulations on your new family member.  Have fun...they grow up so fast.

Woohoo...now you will learn the joys of being owned by a corgi!  And yes, military "families" are the best.  Was in the Air Force with the X and we all stuck together and us married folks made sure the singles got holiday meals and friendship.
