Regarding Bigelbach -- I live in Orange County, so not quite true that she'll only sell to people in San Diego. She'd prefer to have local people, but for the right person, she'll make an exception.

Bigelbach corgis will only sell to residents of San Diego. Kim from Poso Creek was very responsive and kind but we choose to go with Smithshireglencorgis in Loomis ca. Debbie smith is the breeder. I actually had a deposit with Poso but decided to get a pup from smithshireglencorgis corgis instead. Kim was nice enough to refund my deposit. Debbie from smithshireglencorgis tests each and every puppy for DM and all possible health tests. I met both parents on site and was very impressed with Debbie. Great breeder as well as a great person. I also had contacted Wolfmind farms and too many red flags came up- I asked to visit, was told parents were not on site and the pups were brought in from her partner at another location. Also she did not test each pup. And many of her breeders were "at risk" for DM. I was not comfortable with them. Debbie from smithshireglencorgis stands behind her pups and our little red headed tri is healthy and beautiful. She is not a cuddler yet either but is beautiful and a great corgi. I even took her up to visit Debbie last week and she kept her overnight for a visit and some training. What a great breeder. I will get a second corgi from her for sure. I already picked out which parents I want to get a puppy from. She has all dogs on site and are socialized and friendly. I love her pups and she is great to work with. Pet quality are $1200. She has show quality too. She is very picky with her breeding and stands behind the health of her dogs. I can't say enough about her. I was so lucky to find her. It is worth the 8 hr drive to Loomis. Also Kim from Poso did not talk about her health tests, and that was very important to me. Good luck but give Debbie a call (check her website) and tell her Sandy & Rosie sent you!

Check out Bigelbach Corgis. They're located in San Diego. One of Lisa's dogs just had puppies, so she's probably a little overwhelmed right now, so don't be too stressed if she doesn't get back to you right away. I found her to be very communicative when I got my pup from her. I got her name from PWCCSC, and we're very, very happy with our puppy :)

Hi Kae, saw that you weren't having much luck getting a hold of Kim at Poso Creek. She can be a little hard to get a hold of depending on how busy she is. We got both of our Corgis from her and they are wonderful! Kim was great and takes all of the necessary precautions you would want to see in a breeder.

Hey Kae, posted a comment and a link to your profile. I'm sorry to hear that some of S's friends weren't happy with their puppies! We got Henry from Kim at Poso Creek and although she was difficult to get a hold of, we are happy with our pup. Just throwing that out there in case anybody else is looking at Poso, because we chose her in part because of the many positive reviews we saw. Only complaint with Henry is he's not a cuddler ;)

Hi Kae,

I don't have experience with Poso Creek personally, but several friends who have gotten dogs from them have said that they were not happy with the puppies they got.

Are you on Facebook?  There's a group there that is a reputable breeder network.  Check this group out: https://www.facebook.com/groups/responsiblecorgibreeders/

Good luck.

Hello! I am looking for a sweet corgi some time in the summer. I have tried reaching out to Posocreek, but no replies or phone pick ups. Does anyone have any breeder recommendations? I have emailed almost everyone within SoCal from the PWCCA referral list already.

Also, does anyone have experience with "WolfMind Farms" or "SoCal Corgis"? Thanks!

On July 4th, 2014 I lost my Corgi at 14 years of age.  I am looking for another female young(ish) Corgi that likes other dogs & doesn't mind cats.  Please email me at molly191980@yahoo.com if you know of a Corgi that needs a great home!
