Lisa........  I am sorry the weather dampened the time everyone had at CorgiCon.  However, I want to thank you for organizing it, as you have done in the past.  If you have e-mail addresses or contact information for some of the people who came down and especially those who showed up late from out of town, it might be nice if you could contact them and let them know about the Wisconsin Corgi event in September.  If they were on 57, maybe they were coming down from Chicago and getting to Wisconsin from Chicago isn't all that difficult.

It is just so nice to be able to share conversation and experiences with other Corgi families.  Watching them all running (frapping) and playing with each other, etc., is just so incredibly entertaining and puts smiles on most of the human faces nearby.

Thanks for your efforts and look forward to next year.......

We should have stayed.  I think all in our group thought the weather was going to be bad for a good period of time and that the event was cancelled.  I am a huge "chicken" when it comes to lightning.  I have a lot of respect (and fear) for the harm it can cause and that it can travel long distances away from a storm.

We do appreciate your organizing the event, had fun while we were there and plan to attend again next year.

We also are already making plans for the Wisconsin Corgi event in September. I just checked out the photo of that event on this site.  A lot of people, a lot of Corgi's. Plan to spend the night this time as we were extremely tired when we got home last time.  However, we stopped and had a fairly long meal at a nice restaurant.  Should have just headed on home.  See you in September if not sooner.

Thanks to everyone that attended CORGI-CON 2015.

Even with the thunder and the rain, we had a total of 28 Corgis.  We had 21 Corgis before the thunder and then it cleared up and 7 more came.  Unfortunately, it started to rain pretty hard after a short time and we all had to run for our cars.

Kevin, I think that if you click on this, it should take you to the photo we took last year at the Wisconsin Corgi event - I think there were 70 Corgi's there:

I was talking with a young lady who was there with you about breeders.  I had a business card in my pocket and forgot or I could have handed it to her.  Here is the breeder's Facebook page:

Kevin, it was nice to meet you today at CorgiCon in Urbana.  Since you live in the Chicago area, you really should plan to attend the Wisconsin event.  It is September 19th at the Jefferson County Dog Park.  Here is a link to the posting on this MyCorgi website.  There are usually families there from Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana and I met someone there last year from Missouri.  Here is a link to their event on this MyCorgi site:

It is always in the Fall and usually a lot of little Corgi's there.  They had a Corgi rescue group there last year, too.

Hope to see you there ............

We are coming from Chicago. Be there soon. How's the weather holding?

Kevin.......I am not sure which area of town you live, but if it does rain out, maybe we could schedule a play date for you and your Corgi kid along with another lady who lives nearby.  We do have a fenced yard.  It is fine for two to four Corgi's, but many more than that would be a little cramped.  We have two, you make three, so if push comes to shove, a they say, maybe your little one could come here.  Still hoping that the rain holds off until about 4.

PLUS - The weather report keeps changing.

NOW they are showing the rain will hit more like 3pm with a 55% chance.

Kevin,

I am hoping for the best as well.  Hope it stays DRY until 4:30 when we are all heading home! But bring TOWELS for your dogs in case you have to dry them off to put them in the car!
