Can anyone meet on Sunday for a playdate. My husband is taking our son to Boy Scout camp in the AM and I'd like to take Twinkie to a dog park. We have been to the one in Lawrenceville (Ronald Reagan Park) but there are also DPs in Norcross and Cumming. I was especially hoping to meet Gracie, Cece and Victoria's kids. Everyone one else in the area would be a HUGE bonus. Let's see if we can't work something out?

Welcome to the group Cece! We are here in Gwinnett too. There are two others from the group that live close too. We are in Dacula so we might have even run into you at the Mall Of Georgia :o) I really would love to get everyone together but I can't think of a good place that is safe for the furry kids to run. We had a meeting of just three corgis and it was hard to keep up with the leashes. Maybe people could put on their thinking caps for a place that is large and, above all else, safe.

Hi I am a Pembroke corgi that lives in Buford...close to Hall County. My people don't know how old I am due to I am adopted from the Humane Society. I would love to meet more vertical challanged dogs.

Thank you for your comments; they are greatly appreciated. Dara & Gracie, you can go to the PWCCGA website and look at the calendar for the next meeting (June 24th I think); the club meets at a restaurant in Buckhead. They have fun activities that they support too. I have always enjoyed going to different things and seeing all of the corgis.

Collette - I am sorry about Mishka. I lost my 15 1/2 year old Corgi-mix Teddie about a month ago. She was our only dog and I could bear the emptiness we felt in our home. I had always loved Corgis. I just happened to find a breeder who had a fluffy girl and we fell in love with Gracie by her picture. We have had her almost 3 weeks and we are absolutely having a blast! She has filled our lives with so much joy. We hope to add another one in a year or two. We will not be a one-dog family again and hope to get some another one of these fluff butts! I'm hoping to get Gracie into some kind of sport in the future. I am interested in joining the PWCCGA also. I know you have to get sponsorship to join. I guess I need to go to a meeting or two first. I hope you can add another one in the future. I understand your loss and feel your pain. I do know that Gracie has helped heal my broken heart but I will always love and miss Teddie.

I am so sorry to hear about your dear Mishka. Twinkie is our first corgi and now I think like you. She just brings a level of joy and humor to our lives that our other dogs can't. I look forward to news of a puppy coming your way soon.

Hi, I am new to the site though not new to owning a Corgi (or is it the other way around!). However, my buddy and dear friend, Mishka, recently passed away after 12 1/2 years and it is by far one of the worst things I have had to deal with. I am a member of the PWCCGA club here in Atlanta and will be looking to get another Corgi hopefully in the fall. They by far are the best dogs in the world and I wouldn't consider getting anything but!!!
