Maxie is on a nutro choice for less active overweight dogs - none of the diet dog foods worked on her, I tried Purina One lamb & rice diet, Iams weight control and Beneful weight control and she gained on all of those. She only gets 1/3 of a cup twice a day and green beans - never tried bananas for treats thats a new one.

Was wondering what food everybody is using. Ziggy needs to lose some pounds, I have him on Eukanuba weight control now, was told try the Science Diet Lite. He needs to drop about 10-15lbs. Green beans, carrots, bananas for treats.

Maxie went to the vet yesterday with Karlee who had to get her shots updated, Maxie lost another 2 lbs for a total of 6lbs, she is slowly but surely losing weight finally.

Ein is 46 pounds and Twinkie is 17! They are both Pembrokes, perfect weight together! :)

correction to my earlier post...I really like ***TO THINK***that there are 2 types of Cardigans. One, a show Corgi, smaller more delicate, and one, more like a field Corgi, bigger and heavier.

I'm not fat! I'm just thick boned!

<- This one here weighs in at about 45 lbs. I know that's heavy, but I have to say, he has always been a big boy. In his one and only dog show, he competed against 3 other puppies, all that were older than him, and he was still the biggest dog in the ring.

I really like that there are 2 types of Cardigans. One, a show Corgi, smaller more delicate, and one, more like a field Corgi, bigger and heavier.

Of course, we are trying to reduce his weight. But I think if he went to the maximum average of 36-38lbs, this poor boy would be skin and bones!

Twinkie is up to about 32 lbs. She doesn't look fat and we joke that she is a giant corgi (an oxymoron like jumbo shrimp?). We have to feed her separately from the other dogs because she will eat hers and then all of theirs too. We tried green beans but she didn't care for them. I was surprised because she eats most other vegis. Can they have peas and carrots. We tried that and it was a hit. I know the carrots are fine but what about peas? Also what's the deal with pure pumpkin. I also think she has a sensitve tummy (loose stools!). I so appreciate the advice! Oh, we are walking her every day now.

LuvMyCorgis: How long have you been trying to get weight off Cheyenne? If it's been a while, you may want to consider taking her to the vet. Increased weight that is not effected by diet could be associated with a thyroid issue.
