We are in the lakewood area. We are not too far from the steilacoom park. Maybe we could all get together at the park one day.

Hello from Seattle, Washington. Looking forward to meeting some Seattle corgis.

Oops, I should clarify that I was talking about 2 different corgis below - the one we lost last year was a rescue corgi who we found out had kidney failure. The one we got from Castell Corgis after that is our current corgi, Joshua.

I am so sorry to hear about Fergus, Wendy! We lost a corgi last year too, and it was just devastating. I hope you are doing okay.

I believe the breeder we adopted our corgi from last year, Kathleen at Castell Welsh Corgis (in Parma, Idaho) tests for DM. She's a very knowledgeable breeder - it might be worth calling or emailing her about your needs. Here is her website: http://www.angelfire.com/id/castellpwc/

I lost my Fergus September 8,2009 due to the effects of DM. I am devastated. I have his sibling sister and so far she is well. I was wondering if anyone can give me names of reputable breeders who test for this condition. She and I are very lonely. Thank you

Western Washington is such a drag. All it ever does is rain.

Mt. Forgotten summit

Mt. Forgotten is a 10 mi. roundtrip hike/scramble near Barlowe Pass on the Mountain Loop Highway. Not a challenge for a corgi.

Joshua and I had a great time at both the walk at Green Lake and the corgi picnic in Woodinville today! My tired Cardi is happily sleeping at my feet after quite an exciting day. :-)

:( Hey guys, since moving to Bainbridge Island, Erik and I have been couchless and my mom was nice enough to buy us one. Well tomorrow morning is the delivery date for our new sofa and that means that I won't be able to be there for the walk around Green Lake. I was really looking forward to meeting other corgi owners in the Seattle area, but maybe a few of you will be at the campout in September. Anyways, have a great time tomorrow!

We plan to be at the Corgi meetup at Green Lake as well. Looking forward to meeting other folks.
